I’m not saying Pelinka should have won, but there were better candidates than Lawrence Frank.
How about Presti in OKC? How about even the Heat with Riley. |

It’s pretty funny because Lawrence Frank won the award and Sam Presti was the runner up because he fleeced the winner. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I love the PG13 trade and I love the Harkless trade.
Bravo Lawrence, job well done...all the way from stalking Kawhi in Toronto to making those brilliant trades! |

The problem for Pelinka is the deck is stacked against him:
1. Perception that Klutch runs the Lakers
2. “Everyone wants to play for the Lakers. Easy job.”
3. Laker haters will never vote for anyone Lakers.
If Kobe vouched for Pelinka, then Pelinka knows his (bleep).
Yes, he was assisted by Klutch but he also built a versatile roster with the non-Klutch clients decisions.
1. Re-signed Caruso to a great deal
2. AB and Green
3. Dwight
All key contributors to this season. |

That's straight trolling right there. It's fine Rob didn't win. I'm pretty sure the only thing he cares about winning is a ring.
But Lawrence Frank? For what? Gambling away damn good players (SGA, Danilo) and how many fricken picks?
I get it, we did the same... But not really. Yes, AD for one year... But Rob's a lawyer. You don't think he got assurances from AD and Rich Paul he'd resign? Forfeiting his trade kicker was proof of intent.
And yeah some can say Rob relies on klutch. What's Jerry west doing over in clipperland? Just raiding the snack drawer? |

Signing Kawhi is obviously a big win. You could argue every single other move he made was bad. The George trade speaks for itself. $68M for Pat Bev and Zubac. Harkless and a 1st for an expiring Marcus Morris. Who could forget the Joakim Noah and Reggie Jackson signings? _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I couldn’t have said it any better. 🤣 Especially the stalking Kawhi part, which flew under the radar. Imagine if the Lakers did that (bleep)? _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Fun fact:
The MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year and Executive of the Year all went home in the 2nd round. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

The shame for me is Giannis. I really like the dude too but you can't be channeling fronting Mamba mentality and not step up and demand to guard Butler. He's a perimeter Shaq with the none of the nasty. _________________ KOBE |

And him mentioning multiple times that he only does what the coach tells him, very telling of his mentality as a player. |

Funny thing is, aside from the big moves (AD, Vogel) Rob's moves on the margins worked surprisingly well. He killed on the buyout market (Kieff, Dwight and Bradley), resigned Caruso, KCP and Rondo on good deals, and landed two interesting prospects in THT and Cacok for virtually nothing.
Nothing there is earth shattering, but those all look like wins at this point. |

It was close with Bob Myers too, so the GM of a team that went 2nd-1st in the regular season and seems to have one of the most dominant play off run of all times goes toe to toe with the GM of the last team i the RS. All these votes will matter a lot tomorrow night when we ll have our 17th ring. |

Because some of the teams didn’t play after that date. It would be unfair to them to include bubble games. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Just to remind everyone on how much of a scam the EOY awards are:
https://mobile.twitter.com/josh2saint/status/1314358208815788034
Quote: | Rob Pelinka not winning EOY should remind Laker fans of Jerry West getting snubbed in 1997.
He acquired Kobe, Shaq, and Fisher and lost the award.
Who won? Charlotte’s GM who traded Kobe for Vlade Divac. |
And to also remind you all: Ujiri never won last year either for acquiring Kawhi in the trade as well as Marc Gasol and bringing in Pascal Siakim. The awards for this and CoTY are a joke. Always has been. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Vogel was his second choice and a trained circus bear could have given NO what they wanted for AD but you are correct, the side moves worked out well. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

No doubt. Lakers are shutting a lot of haters up, thankfully, but it's clear some voters are slow learners. |
