It looks like there is a consensus that Ball and Fultz with go 1, 2 but is there any other player that is even considered going 1 if we get that pick, its always nice to be no. 1 and this is no knock on that at all, but as far as pick uniqueness are they mirror images of each other? Two NBA ready scoring point guards with potential superstar qualities...Is there anything else that draft brings that even comes close?

First pick gets to pick a player the second pick doesn't.

Well, we do gotta consider each draft as an individual case, o' displayer of a disturbing, disrobing, probably horny Ron Artest avatar. Example: 1st pick in 89 and 1st pick in 92 is a whole different ballgame on a whole nother planet. Shaq Attaq vs Never Nervous Pervis. Sh, it was a large drop between 1 and 2 in 1992 and Zo was good. In 93, you had a quandary over Penny and Webber, so Orlando traded down to get Penny at #2. In 07, you got Durant vs Oden. Oden at 1 makes Gelo and BI seem like we hit home runs at 2 by comparison.

This one, if we get 1, we're gonna be torturing ourselves about whether we picked the right guy until the answer becomes obvious. In early 82/3, there were some restlessness about whether Worthy was the right choice as Cummings and Nique were instantly playing well in major roles as James was being weaned along. I expect that again. If we get 1, I don't know if they might wanna do the 1993 thing. Take Fultz 1 and trade him for Ball 'n stuff.

This is a deeper draft, but I don't want (bleep) #3 if we keep our pick. That would be a repeat of the last 2 years even though Jax, Tatum and others look good. We're holding out for a HERO, this year. He's gotta be larger than life.

Jury us out on Simmons, but KAT would have been incredible. He's about the clearest example of a near sure fire star from the last three draft classes.

I definitely don't consider Lonzo Ball a scoring PG.

I'm looking at Josh Jackson, Taytum and Jonathon Isaac as fantastic fits for the Lakers. 1-3 doesn't matter to me this year, I see them all as blue-chip prospects.

Markelle Fultz
Or
Josh Jackson

I'm not a believer in the Ball boy. Maybe the young one if he hits the Gym. Don't know if I want to hear his dad on the radio and or TV cryinglike a damn Kardashian

How about their names
Haha I thought my Family had some hood names.

I think Fultz and Jackson have a pretty good shot at becoming stars. I'm lower on Ball than most but a lot knowledgeable guys who watched him more, like GT, have him at #1 currently. So we're probably going to get a pretty good player regardless.

Are you implying that Ingram is a bust? KAT vs DLo is clear but Simmons vs Ingram is still too early to call.

We have a lot of assets, we can move two or three of them for an all star then go after another in free agency and draft a stud PG or Forward in this deep draft. I don't think it is pipe, but a real possibility (best case scenario).

Worst case scenario is keeping this roster and missing our lottery pick, then a 10 win season would be great.

I would prefer the 3rd pick over the 2nd pick. Picking second would put too much pressure to pick Ball since Fultz is going 1st most likely, we can end up with Jackson or Smith at 3 and get a higher ceiling player.

I think it matters in a draft where you have a clear #1. But there are always exceptions to the rule e.g. the Blake Griffin/Curry draft. In this draft I haven't seen anything that puts Fultz or Ball clearly above the other.

That's why I was curious who would be a better fit for this Lakers team
