Andrew Bynum should get a statue, because how shiny will it look in ten years? And he was almost as good as Vlade Divac, who of course will also have to have a statue...

Don't forget Kobe's physical therapist! And Dan Marino & Michael Jordan since the Heat retired their numbers, so why couldn't we build them a statue?

Jackson nor Riley deserve a Statue. We don't want to be the Celtics just giving out honors willy nilly. That being said, Jackson deserves gratitude from every Lakers fan for everything he did for the organization. I don't understand the ungrateful haters on LG. Maybe they are all Jimbo bot accounts.

The Chicago Bulls should put a statue for Phil Jackson since he won more rings in Chicago then he did with the lakers. With all the statues outside of Staples there won't be any room to walk.

I can't stand Phil as a person, but it wouldn't bother me if he got a statue.

I like the idea of one of him sitting in his tall chair smugly not calling timeout.

Haha. I was thinking of that one as well.

No statue for Phil unless he was Lakers coach for as long as Pops been the Spurs coach. Pop could legitimately get a statue from the Spurs. None of the recent coaches can garner that

Tourist would wonder why there's a statue of Col. Sanders in front of Staples Center.

It's interesting during the Shaq ceremony yesterday Shaq said Worthy and Wilt deserve one. And after the ceremony Jerry West said Elgin deserves one and Jerry seemed to get emotional when he said that. But somebody that definitely deserves one is Dr Buss and I am shocked that it hasn't happened yet.

His chair should get retired. No one should be able to sit there after he's dead.

How about "fixing" Magic's statue first. That thing is a travesty.

Taylor Swift should get a statue in front of Staples. She already has more championship banners there than the Clippers do.

Stu Lantz said during the Timberwolves game Phil, Pat Riley and it might have been John Kundla (I could be wrong) names should be held in the rafters at Staples.

Not yet. I do think I know where his should go though. Courtside, just down from the visitor's bench.

How much space is left? Might be time to have statues all around Staples, or at least another section on the other side. Space permitting, of course.

The third one was Bill Sharman. Kundla has one already included in the Minneapolis Banner.
