I don't care what kind of fan people think I am, at this point I'm rooting for both teams on the floor. I'm happy to see our guys make great plays and I'm happy to see them lose. Come at me.

Lol at the people here that got madone at me for posting the same exact thread almost a month ago on a much more blatant tank game.

I hope some here are no longer kidding themselves. The tank jobs have clearly been obvious.

I think there is a distinction. This thread is saying that last night is how you want to lose when you are tanking. I don't agree as I'd prefer a wire to wire game where we come up short at the end rather than blowing a lead but still not a bad way to keep the tank job going.

Your thread/posts refer to the players quitting to preserve the tank. They aren't. They don't care about that especially since they know they may not even be here. There is no incentive for a player to tank. They only to stand to lose.

Tanking is fine. You do what u have to but don't call players out for their lack of effort when you are sabotaging their efforts to win the game.

The Lakers are not making their best effort to win by trading Lou and benching most of the other vets but the young players were out there and blew that lead on their own. That wasn't intentional on their part.

Up 13 going into the 4th JC and Randle got it going. Leaves them on the bench until the 6min mark while the unit on the floor loses all momentum and gives up the lead.

Luke doesn't tank, it's just his annoying way, and it'll get him fired eventually if he doesn't change in the future.

Even during the 10-10 start, I thought there were games we could have won while the better players were just sitting on the bench in the name of keeping everyone under 30 minutes. When you're the only coach in the league who has no one above 27 minutes, either you're a genius or a dope. Then when we had a few injuries after the 10-10 start, it was his chance to shorten the rotation and give bigger minutes to better players, instead, he plugged in end of the bench guys to keep his 10-11 man rotation going. I don't mind it now since its best we lose. He's gotta improve his rotations next year. Simply shorten it. Your top 4 players has to be like the rest of the league averaging 33 to 38 minutes. You can't have no one under 28 minutes again.

Russel was out there the whole time.

Also, are you really saying subbing in Randle earlier would have stemmed the tide? He was the tank POTG.

I thought playing Ennis (and having him guard Wall) over Nwaba was a clear tank move.

Yes, and we all know that Facebook Lakers fans are pretty much one of the dumber species of Lakers fans... I'm sure half of them still think we should have drafted Okafor and Russell is a bust...
