Without Westbrook on the floor, OKC is about -16 per game in this series

The game was there for the taking for OKC in 3 of these losses. Westbrook was horrible to close the game in all of those losses. He shot 29% in the 4th for the series, on wayyyyy too many shots.

You don't think Rockets' role players are just better than OKC's?

I think we have slightly more talent than OKC, now that we traded for Lou at the deadline. I don't think we have significantly more talent. I also don't think Westbrook is playing with scrubs as to where he has to shoot so much.

I started out thinking Harden because he is playing on the better team putting up insane numbers.

But dang, Westbrook's season is for the ages. One of the best years ever by anyone. First person to average a triple double for the whole season since Oscar. That is something special.

He may not be my favorite player or even the best player. I know there is a fair amount of grumbling that other players don't want to play with him because nobody but him ever gets the ball. I am not saying that, and even if it is true, you still can't deny this season.

Yep. It rubs me the wrong way because he was stat padding at times to get all of those triple doubles. But he really did have an MVP quality season. He wouldn't have gotten my vote, but I don't really have a problem with giving him the MVP.

And now that the MVP is awarded after the playoffs, any player that isn't on the championship team will be receiving the award after elimination.

The saddest part of this is that ALL OKC had to do to keep Harden is to pay him...

Like the Phoenix Suns during the Steve Nash era, the biggest enemy of their team wasn't the opposition but the people running the franchise.
