The fact that unleashed doesn't think his conduct is egregious with over 40 years of "professional" work experience is a little troublesome. I wouldn't expect a high school student to act like that let alone someone who has been in the work force for that long.

Also Candycanes how are you a millennial still think anything posted online is private and let alone a facebook post regardless of privacy settings think that is an invasion of privacy?

You think private Facebook statuses aren't private?...

Posting anything on the internet and thinking it wont ever get out? Thats foolish.

What about LakersGround?... Theoretically it would be possible for someone to attain your IP and trace it to you in real life, but nobody would expect that to actually happen. I feel like if there's a reasonable expectation of privacy then it's private regardless of whether a third party can get a hold of it or not.

Why does this have to be so black and white? Nobody said you have to take anything. What about simply approaching your boss and hashing things out like a professional instead of having an insane outburst. If that doesn't work, you'll have to look into other sensible actions none of which include acting like a no-brained 8 year old weirdo.

Really? I suspect, neither of you have ever been in the same situation OR neither of you have any self-respect! It's called standing up for your rights!

lol, something's wrong with you man.

You posted this on an online bulletin board. How else am I supposed to respond? Befriend you, ask to come over your house, and then give you my input over pot roast?

unleasHell wrote:

Que? That's what you call creepily messaging her through the internet? Oy vey.

I doubt you're this unstable in person. If so, I hope you get better pal.

Btw, I think this is the first time I've done one of these quote then respond things. Too much (bleep) work. Ain't happening again.

Pull the ripcord on this one, OP. Let it die as soon as it can. You got a lotta good stuff in the bank. LG will forget. This is one of those ones you just gotta leave to decompose. Do it, fast, bro. Everyone's gone on a limb too thin at LG. I've done it myself and it's not fun getting flack, but it gets worse the more you try to defend it. None of us bat 1.000 here. It's aite, dood.

By chain, Bravo, he doesn't mean a human centipede. You know Dladi didn't mean it like that. Or am I protesting too much?

There's nothing that you did that involves "self-respect". Self-respect is about rising above the BS - not lowering yourself to the lowest to lash out in spite.

And if that's not motivation enough to avoid doing things like this, unleasHell also created potential exposure for being sued by this person. Not very smart at all.

For anyone reading this - A) burning bridges is never a good idea no matter who the person is, because you never know what that person may become in the future and if you'll ever run into them again where you need them for something (especially within the same profession); B) if you are ever going to do something like the OP did, don't tell the victim of your revenge plot what you did and don't make it public, unless, of course, you don't care about possibly being sued or ruining your reputation in your field; and C) just be better than that; if you've moved on and found a better situation, move on. Nothing to be gained by living in the past, and doing so only reflects immaturity.

Work horror stories by a moron who somehow got the ear of VP and C level folks:
- Law of Demeter is useless
- Thin Model/Thin Controller is not needed
- Mediators are not needed. Fake design pattern.
- It's OK to have a 2MB API for content.
- CMS data should be fully normalized.
- Better to use drivers not from the company who built the engine and defer to what people in the community uses (bugs galore).
- It's OK for us to reboot all our boxes at least once per month and our site being down to accommodate for the previous issue.
