I don't see the Suns winning anymore games, while the Lakers could possibly beat the T-Wovles (again)...
Anyone know what the tie-breaker is in case the Lakers and Suns end with the same record? _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

In the event of a tie, then both teams would evenly split their lottery balls I believe.
Maybe the Suns can beat DAL on their home court, but they seem to be full bore committed to the tank.
On the other hand, I give us a chance with SAC, MIN, and NOP. |

It's almost guaranteed we drop below the Suns in tank positioning. They're almost certainly not going to win another game and at the very least, the Kings and the Warriors will be very winnable games for us since the Kings suck and the Warriors will be resting their main guys if they have the top seed locked up. |

What do you want them to do? They've already shut down all of their vets. Two of their 5 remaining bigs are on the injured list. You want them to start MWP or what? |

I think we each have to most likely wins
MN and Sac for us
Dal and Sac for them
Either team can possibly uncork and unexpected win like we did last night so we'll see |

We're gonna need Luke to take a leave of absence and bring in Byron Scott to coach the rest of the year. |

Yeah no matter what happens this draft lottery, I'm done with the tank strategy. I want no part of it next season. It's just not fun and not something we should be developing a habit for like some other organizations. Just not a good organizational culture. |

If Luke plays the team to win, all these last 5 games will tell is if we are high on Ball/Fultz as the media wants us to believe. Maybe their sights are actually on Jackson/Tatum? Ball did mail it in against Kentucky and might not actually be the player or leader that once again, the media has made him out to be.
As a side note, i do like Ball but have cooled on him a bit. Pnr non existent and may not have the fire or leader mentality similar to what we are waiting for DLO to consistently have.
We will still finish in the top 3 and I believe the FO would rather see improvement from our young guys than risking integrity? Or whatever you want to call a (2)19.9% or (3)15.6% chance to get the top pick. We'd look like fools regardless if we get the 3rd pick or if we somehow still end up with the 2nd worst record and manage to lose the 2nd overall pick.
At this point, I'm tired of relying on a ball (and another player to "develop" and be our savior, 3 years from now) to decide our fate and the FO probably hates that same feeling so just let the ball roll and instead of thinking small picture they have other options...
Maybe PG is already in the mix this summer or our sights are for another high profile player? (hopefully not at the expense of dlo/ingram/zubac as they seem to be the players with the highest upside). Add to the fact that the Pacers would be smart to get something rather than nothing.
Then there is basketball karma or maybe we have everything locked up with an under the table deal. lol. whatever the case, the team seems to be trending towards improving which could result in a few more Ws these last 5 games. |
