What do you guys think of this trade:

Lakers Outgoing:
Kwame Brown
Deveon George

Lakers Incoming:
Carlos Boozer
Keith Mcleod

THEN

Lakers Outgoing:
Lamar Odom
Luke Walton

Lakers Incoming:
Paul Pierce

This might destroy this season with the learning curves these guys will go through, but this at least gives monster potential. Boozer is a gamble, but watching him the first two games of his comeback I remember how good this guys is, great passer, huge hands, nice jump shot, bad ass rebounder. Paul Pierce and Kobe can co-exist and can spell each other giving them less minutes as there careers move foward. There would be no 07 plan, but with Phil having 3 yrs and Kobe/Paul/Carlos in there prime we could be great.

Go Lakers

Carlos Boozer? Ronny Turiaf has more heart than him. I can't believe he's still out due to that hamstring injury.

We'd miss the playoffs cause boozer isn't likely to be the boozer of old.

Hmmmm adding "more oft injured than not" Boozer and "I am truly the center of the universe " Pierce" and all the Lakers would have to give up is their starting PF/C, starting SF, and two backup SF? It's always good to see those who will stop at nothing to make Mitch look like GM of the century when compared side by side with their ineptitude. Sometimes I think Mitch sucks as a GM, then I read some of these suggestions and am reminded that Mitch isn't really all that bad after all...

Ok, so the speculation is its Kenyon Martin and Earl Watson for DG, Slava, and....?

Is Martin healthy enough to contribute at this point and time?

I agree that lineup is better than our current squad.

I also think you're forgetting the contracts that come with it.

We'd be a better team with those moves, but not better ENOUGH to justify
killing any chance for future acquisitions.

Throw the 2007 plan out the window, there won't be any great fa's available-trust me. When you see Boozer Mon. (even 15 min worth) you will see this guy has alot of game and is only in his mid 20's. He is very similar to E. Brand just not as fast. All the players listed are people that are on the block. I believe the Lakers are still high on Boozer, and Mitch said he was looking for backcourt help and that when trading for a star, you need to trade a star (Odom). It is possible--

Go Lakers
