Dame/Cj kind of like a modern day Hardaway/Richmond. They can light it up but play absolutely no defense.

There were people saying he wasn't the same since last year, when he hit a cold stretch earlier in the year

Portland just too selfish down the stretch, as good as McCollum is he's just way to selfish, he gets the ball you know he's going to shoot

To be fair, I think CJ is the way better shot creator and at least he plays a semblance of defense. Lillard suffers the exact same selfish syndrome and he plays no D

Yup. But even then I am not sure his 15-16 season was replicable. Maybe he could do even better but man was that season absurd.

He did not look happy. LOL. And the painted GSW fan behind him and the fact that they kept putting the camera on him probably did not help. Poor dudeā€¦

Ankywhoo, fun night o' hoops..

Agreed. Statistically, I believe it was one of the best seasons of all time. It was that good.

Has Javale Mcgee actually become a decent player? He's looked good in this series...

I get sick and tired about hearing how the Lakers don't play defense. I think 99% of the league doesn't really play the imaginary defense that fans have in their heads. Except for the team that wins the championship, then they get the media lip service cliche about how defense wins championships.

Hes always been good. Does he make boneheaded plays? yes

He just has a bad perception in the Media.

warriors are a perfect team for him. doesn't have to do much, just focus on finishing and blocking shots.

I always dig your posts, but I have to disagree with this one.

This Lakers team is historically bad defensively, even by NBA standards. There were times this year watching their games that I thought an All Star Game broke out, it was that bad at times.

Walton either fixes that big time this year or his stock as a NBA Coach will have a sell rating on it.

Or they get better defensive players?

I mean Clarkson, nick young, Dlo, Lou Williams, Tarik Black. Those guys played a lot and are not great defensively.

Terry Stotts has been mistaken for Peyton Manning: last yr. at a Vegas Starbucks, a guy showed him a pic of Manning & said, "Is that you?"

I'm surprised that he married an Indian woman they even had a traditional Indian wedding more or less based on pics I just googled online.

I agree he's a good coach.

Probably also has to do with TNT stopped doing compilations of all his bonehead plays each week. If they did that for any other player, I bet their perception would take a hit as well.

God, I hate the media...always looking for random stats/achievements. This was on ESPN's front page:

Quote:
LeBron James has some history on the line today. With a win, he will pass Tim Duncan for most playoff sweeps in a career all-time with 10. He will also pass Magic Johnson, Michael Cooper and James Worthy for most consecutive first round playoff wins with 21 (since 1984).

Whatever Pacers fans are left are probably rooting for the Cavs to take them out of their misery.
