It's heartwarming to know that at this point, we can only get better. But their fate is up in the air... |

They have a highly touted big they stashed overseas this last year, the #1 pick, a potential at another #1 pick, just more picks in general (can never take too many swings), and they are a FA destination. I think they can get better too. |

you know what's hysterical? nobody's criticizing the Boston FO for not being able to land superstar FA with all their assets and history. By the perception of it, PG and Lonzo are now both dodging Boston |

It's because people and the media love to hate the Lakers more than any other team. |

They didn't get a superstar because they kept their assets and decided to wait out Lebron, they signed Horford to give Stephens a chance to install a winning mentality. PG and Lonzo are LA natives who weren't drafted to the Celts (pierce) and so they can be discriminating. |

We are like a year or so behind compared to their rebuild and they don't have some crappy contracts to unload in the process. |

We already have two bad contracts (Deng and Mozzie) and if we overpay Randle too?
Not sure that is the best way to go, time for a trade involving Randle/Deng...maybe Clarkson also if necessary. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Always a good day when Boston ends its season on a loss. |

I'm not saying we dont have a bright future but I can't picture the Lakers in the conference finals anytime soon unless pg13 signs. |

Their fans still have the Patriots
Football season is only a few months away for them. They were pretty much over it when they got the #1 draft pick they really didn't need anything else. |

Can the Boston fans hear LeBron's post game interview on the floor? He pretty much said their mindset was to "get the series over with" That made me laugh |

Yes, they have Belichick and Tom Terrific.
Meanwhile, my team moved to a city where no one care they are there.
Gotta love the NFL. I do admit, I am still interested in it despite the betrayal like a jilted lover. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I have the Colts although I'm not expecting much although I do like the moves the new GM has made.
They have a far better shot of winning an SB than the Pacers ever will in winning a title.
The Fever have a better shot of winning it all than the Pacers. |

I don't know if the Warriors are going to sweep or if it's going 7. Cavs defense definitely needs to to play way better than they have been playing if they want to compete. |

I'd be surprised if the Warriors sweep the series. I think it goes six |

Warriors are better and I am looking to bet them, but you could argue the Cavs have the 2 best players in the series.
If the Cavs swarm on defense the way they have in the past vs. the Warriors where they make Curry look ordinary? It could be a tough series.
Too early to call for me yet, I think it is the Warriors year but LeBron and Kyrie are playing at an insanely high level right now and I like Thompson, Smith, Korver....those guys are balling. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Oh yeah, it's gonna be a tough, fun and exciting series. I'm very much looking forward to it. I'll give the warriors a slight edge because I think they are hungrier, but I won't bet against Lebron and Kyrie should be fun, it could go 7 |

Kyrie is great but I think it is probably overrating him to put him in Durant's level. Durant does it at a high level on both ends and is at worst just as good offensively. |

I think this is where Durant is the difference. If the Refs allow them to get away with the yanking and tugging as in the past couple of finals, it's not going to affect Durant, like it would Curry. |

As a basketball fan in general, I was really disappointed the Spurs weren't healthy, because otherwise they would've seriously challenged the Warriors. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

I would be very surprised if the Cavs beat the Warriors, but if they do then that's a huge statement for Lebron (barring injuries taking out Curry or Durant or Green) which would vault him into the GOAT conversation. They certainly have a shot: Kyrie can score with the best and Lebron is a force of nature, and both will likely have to show it in the Finals, plus the Cav role players will have to hit their threes and TT dominate the offensive glass to win. And if Klay finds his shot again and Durant and Curry keep playing like they have been in the post season, all that might not make a difference. I'm calling Dubs in six. |
