Lol I thought we'd be the happiest but reading Pacer fans boards they seem pretty excited at getting Fultz or Ball now lol. |

Boogie's team did the same thing and where's he playing now ?
Also- there's another side to this. There was a report (I think I linked it earlier in this thread) about some in the Pacers org not wanting to pay PG the supermax because it would make it too difficult to ever build a contender around him with their owner's aversion to going into the tax. |
We would have that same problem. And where will Cousins sign when he is a FA? Whoever has his Bird Rights. Just like PG, this will be their first chance at the big money and I doubt they leave money on the table. |
All the more reason to acquire him at a reasonable price this summer. Last night makes that more likely. |
I agree. The Pacer GM has said his general rule of management is to get picks and move them around. I wonder where we could make a trade or two to add some picks over the next 3 seasons? I think if we went with an offer of #28, a 2018 first and a 2019 first we might get the deal done. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Lakers do not have their 2018 1st. Its Phillys.
- Only pick they have in 2018 will be Denver's 2nd.
- Lakers 2018 2nd is going to Orlando.
- Lakers do have 2019 1st though.
- have Chicago's 2019 2nd
- but Lakers 2019 2nd is going out to Cleveland or Portland |

The Pacers are screwed going forward. Lakers don't need to give up the pick. |

They know PG13 is a deadend. If they can get a top pick for him, of course they're happy. We would be stupid to deal significant pieces for him. Ingram, Russell and #2 should be untouchable.
I am NOT a PG13 fan. |

I'm not saying I would do this, I also think it's to much. My friend, who is Indiana fan, suggested it and I was thinking about it and wanted to know your opinions. And I don't know what my post count has to do about it. Relax. |

Lakers obviously. Definitely a 'no' from the Pacers.
That's just to start the negotiations, but we'd have to part with Clarkson and one of Randle/D'lo/Ingram. I think we hold on to our young core and decide whether or not to move them at the trade deadline; not sure if Pritchard will hold on to PG13 by then. It all depends on if there'll be takers willing to risk losing PG13 in free agency, Paul holds all the cards here... _________________ Character

I had thought about the possibility of trading the #28 this year to get a 2018 first, one that might be higher than the #28 next year, perhaps as high as 15-20, or even late lottery if things broke right. (You'd think that a team that doesn't currently have a first, particularly a playoff team, might have interest in getting a pick this year.) However, we couldn't trade BOTH a 2018 1st (if we had one) and the 2019 1st, correct? |

Anyone feel that Ingram may be dangled for PG13? Dlo isn't enough IMO and would require another top premium asset.
I'd like for them to sit tight for this season, but not sure the FO will. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Is it possible that the Celtics would trade their 1st pick to INDY to get Paul George? Wouldn't INDY prefer to deal w Celtics assets than what we have? |

Read something about one of Celtics owners saying they are considering Ball for #1 pick. Probably lip service but something to monitor. I see Celtics holding on to pick too. |

#2 pick and #28 pick, a tier 2 young asset and a vet roster player for PG13 should be more than enough. _________________ Music is my medicine |

I just don't see the point of the redundant fit b/w PG13 and Ingram TBH. Pick one and build with them. Ingram would be off the bench IMO if PG13 came here. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
