Now, no 2018 first and hopefully out of the lottery by 2019. Hopefully this means no more putting up with posters cheering like crazy when the Lakers lose and getting all pissed off if a Laker steps up and wins a game for us. Annoying af. |

NBA Draft 2017: Ball family union with Lakers looking more and more inevitable
Quote: | Once it became clear that no team had leapfrogged the Lakers on Tuesday night — guaranteeing that the Lakers would keep the pick, which would have been sent to Philadelphia if it had fallen out of the top three — the first stages of a Ball-Laker union were underway. That union could yet be derailed by goings-on between now and draft day, including the potential for a Lakers trade. But for now, this pairing carries the odor of inevitability. |

It won't be the first time Boston punks LA over a player, they picked up Brian Shaw right before LA's turn to pick. Wouldn't be surprised if Boston did it again, Ainge hates the Lakers with a passion. |

The story I remember was Rod Strickland, that was the guy we zoned in on, and I remember reading a story about how West got pissed off the Knicks swooped him at 19. Something about a broken promise. All teams after 19 didn't take a point guard, so he was ours to be had. |

How is getting ransom balls to fall where you want them "punking" the Lakers? |

That would be hilarious if Boston drafted Ball, but considering he won't even work out for them (allegedly) than it is hard to imagine any chance of that happening. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

It makes sense now, had no idea why West would pick up David Rivers who was a disappointment. If I recall correctly, Knicks were supposed to go for a small forward at 19 and it was a surprise when they picked up Strickland. |

It's a different matter. Talking about when another team snipes the player the Lakers were originally targeting ( see Lynzie Hunter w/ Detroit) right before the Lakers' turn to pick. |

10 Realistic Trades After the Results of 2017 NBA Draft Lottery
Quote: | Post-lottery trade speculation gets kicked into high gear.
Every deal in our list here will include a pick from this year's draft—that's our only rule.
Rosters are fluid in the offseason, so we're not as concerned about agreements with uneven components; the same goes for salary-cap situations. Many of these trades are designed to take place sometime after July 1, in order to capitalize on financial outlooks and offseason plans, and they will be denoted as such. |

The joke would be on them, because Ball would come to LA anyway in a few years, and we'd end up with both Fultz and Ball. |

Thanks!
I hope magic can get us the 2nd pick.
My favorite part was when Magic had a quick chat with Devin Booker and some of the rookies. And they have this look like: "Who is this person? Is he an agent? Has he ever played basketball?"
Kids...

It kind of looked like they were in awe of him, especially Booker who's a basketball junkie. I'd be shocked if these guys didn't know who Magic freakin' Johnson is, but then again I think I classify as an oldie now with only a couple of years left until the big 3-0 |
