I'm usually there as media, and was there last year when they let fans in. They have the front of the practice court set up with the fans on the left side in rows of chairs, with a TV at the front, with the media on the right side at work tables. People will come out & talk to the two groups separately, for example Luke. Mitch never came down last year (unless he did after I left), but that will probably be different this year with Rob. We do a conference call with the players who were drafted in the anteroom next to the practice court; the public doesn't get to come to that. If I remember right ESPN radio set up their booth there as well & broadcasted live, but I may be conflating that memory with media day. I'm going to try to be there this year as well.

That's going to be such an awkward environment to be in if we lose the pick. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Awesome news guys. I won passes to the ESPN Lakers Draft Lottery Party from one of the text to win contests they have. Anybody every been to one?
Sounds like it should be pretty fun.
I'll be taking my mom with me. I think she's been the Lakers Lucky charm back to back years. We both wear Lakers gear and usually stare intensely at the screen from separate places.
...Hopefully this year, it'll bring twice the amount of luck since we'll be in the same place!
You and your mom are the real mvps! I hope you guys had a blast!

I'm guessing Rob didn't come down seeing as he was at the actual lottery... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Funny thing is, since I don't remember the Lakers ever throwing a lottery party (what are they now, Donald Sterling?), the entire time I read this thread and wrote my post, their DRAFT event was registering in my head, not the lottery.

Two things about you and Mom. (1) Ya'll brought it home (we wanted No.1 but that's ok) and (2) tell Mom a belated Happy Mother's Day and thank you!
