The last two lotteries I did the same thing. I didn't watch or listen to the cards being read. I am like jerry west watching a playoff game. Can't do it. Too nervous. Both times I came to the LG website and kept refreshing the page and read the comments. I found out pretty quickly what was going on. I will do the same routine this year. How about you? _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

The last 2 lotteries I have been in my car, parked in my driveway after work...not wanting to leave the car until the pick was announced. Worked out well then, will do the same this year. |

Historically I ignored it. I caught last year but forgot about the other two. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Same last two years, except I was in traffic on the 5 freeway. I remember last year I was pumping my fist and screaming so loud with the windows down. I must've looked like a mad man. A Laker fan in a black pickup rolled up next to me and honked and pumped his fist. Felt so good. I'll listen from my car again this year.
I was out glamping for Randles lottery year. |

Glamping. You know you've made it when you get to go glamping! |

No, but even DB remembers when I dreamt the Lakers drafted Brian Cook instead of Leandro Barbosa. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I knew nothing about Barbosa but as a huge U of I fan, I knew we didn't want to draft Cook. Solid college player that wouldn't translate to the pros. But Phil got his shooter. Be similarly aware of Myers Leonard. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I leave work early since it starts at like 4. Then I pray.
Although this year I'm not as concerned if we keep the pick or not |

I was working out both times. Both times I ran away from the TV when it got down to the last 5 picks. I couldn't handle it. _________________ KOBE |

Not watching. I missed the Jones and Bynum drafts, missed Randle, heard DLO on the radio and intentionally played Heroclix while checking the phone for Ingram pick. I'll be at bible study this year so no TV for me. |

I got a free bracelet when I went to Dwight's 1st game back after he left. I've worn it the last 2 years and will wear it again so we keep the pick. |

For the last three years, I have considered trying to sacrifice AC Green to the Great Laker in the Sky by throwing him into the La Brea Tar Pits. I am sure that a volcano would be better but there just are not that many near downtown LA. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”

Generally, I am focused on my work and completely forget the lottery is taking place. Inevitably, I log on and see some news item about it and find out how we did. So I guess my ritual is to go with the flow and let whatever will happen to happen without my involvement.
Lottery zen. |

Does the behind the scenes draw really happen that much before the actual draft lottery is shown? Why hasn't it even been leaked before?
Or are you in a different time zone and you're just talking about the lottery ceremony thing _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Like the last two years, I won't watch it live. I'll put my head in the sand, and then, quite anxiously, and several hours after the lottery, I will check and see what happened. _________________ Chick Hearn and Vin Scully. How lucky are we? |
