Interesting to see him with Magic at the Chicago combine.

Mitch should have a seat at the table.

We should give him a consultant role. God knows we have the money.

Whoa.. that is interesting. What is Mitch doing out and about involving the NBA? I figure he would shut down for awhile. Curious to know if he's working for somebody. For us? That would be great.

He's not with the team. He might be looking for other work though...

Even if he's not working for someone else, it's part of his job to keep updated. Nothing to see here.

If Mitch was hired in some sort of role, I would have no problems at all with that. I would love to see him without Jim Buss monitoring everything.

One could only hope he'd be welcomed back in a consultation role.

I'm sure Pelinka is an expert at the CBA but Mitch has a great view of the NBA landscape.

Would be great, but doubt it. He probably was there on his own to keep up with the talent and will eventually lend services to those teams who want them in some type of consulting role. Still nice to see the bridge isn't completely burned.

He was just a victim of Jim Buss by association. I highly doubt they bring back anyone who worked closely with Jim.

It's hard to burn bridges with Magic. The guy is an open book.

Love it. Magic is smart. He's seeking the opinion of one of the best. Maybe he's hoping Mitch could help him pick out another Zubac at #28.

I agree, even in a minor role I think Mitch can help. hopefully he at least has the luxury of giving advice to the new FO.

Mitch is doing his due diligence to keep up with what's going on in the NBA.
He may seek employment elsewhere or he may become an advisor for LA. Who knows but he will always be a Laker.

Not sure how much he wants to work for Jeanie. She wasn't very supportive of him in her mania to undermine Jim and it led to a pretty dysfunctional relationship across business and basketball people.

Still, some of that on his part may have been backing up his boss and he may actually like the idea of not having to carry such a heavy load. There were rumors he was looking at retirement at some point not too far off. Regardless, probably isn't an option for a while.

He should've been getting coffee and watching the games with Rudy T years ago.

Yea I agree.

He should've taken Okafor over Russell. That was the last straw with me.
