Quote: | "Magic has said Paul George's name on a few occasions, so I'm just going by what I hear. I think Paul George has pretty much said he would love to play in L.A., so I'm just putting two and two together and I think it would be great for the city. I think it would be great for Paul George who grew up idolizing and rooting for the Lakers to be able to go back and play for a team that he loves. It would be a big splash for Earvin. |

Ignorance is bliss..
of course he would say that, he's a numbskull.
i wish the response was "so you would just go after it and not try to wait to see if you can send top picks instead?"
followed up with "do you always try to sabotage the people and organizations that provide you with any clout in the NBA?" _________________ KOBE!!! |

Not a surprise, it is the most logical way to get PG13.
Julius is the first young player I'm trying to move because he is going to get payed soon.
If Magic can find a way to get rid of Deng or Mozgov sending Julius as the prized asset I'd build him another statue
Trading for George while cleaning up some capspace to be a player in free agency is the natural path for a front office that just took over after four miserable seasons as the laughingstock of the league without a single player you can build around.
I repeat, it makes no sense to purge the former front office and related employees if the plan is to stand pat. I'm sure something is going to be done and Byron is closer to the decision makers than any of us.

No, it's a dumb idea when the guy is gonna be a free agent next year.
I just get this feeling that BS holds a grudge against some of the young guys, particularly Russell. I'm sure he partly blames not having a veteran team to coach in his last year for him basically being out of the league permanently at this point. Must have really destroyed his ego. |

I agree with you although probably in the minority on this site.
I would not deal Ingram, Zubac or DLo but picks,Clarkson, and a soon to be paid Randle for PG sure. Dumping the contract of Deng or Mozgov would also be a main objective. |

How about waiting till free agency as opposed to watching him go to the Rockets or the Celtics after we fail to put the pieces around him to help him do any better than he did in Indiana because as has been shown, a team with Paul George as their best player isn't going to win a championship. In Houston he'd be their 2nd best player so that would be a major point of contention.
Gotta stop overrating Paul George cause he's the guy that's "there" and you're still hurting from Dwight, Melo, Aldridge, Deandre and Whiteside all walking away or not talking to us at all.
George has shown how far teams built around him will go. You add him to our roster fully in tact if you want to do any better than Indiana. Getting rid of pieces just to add him to it would be a mistake, and you'd be doing it on a one year rental. Houston would scoop him up without thinking in the off-season. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Can you imagine that? Loosing both Dwight and PG to the Rox? No one year rental of George. It is just too risky. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Not if standing pat was a decision made by the new people.
It makes more sense to wait because we would need other pieces besides George and the Pacers aren't going to take a deal build around Randle. |

Do we need any more confirmation that trading for PG this summer is the wrong move? |

IG: I think this is proof that magic will trade everyone for George because Magic is just being open minded and Byron Scott is a good friend ! _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |
