Also, with DLO and Ball in the backcourt we will be getting smoked on defense.

oh yea, a huge concern for me too. The only way it succeeds is if we have 4-5 great scorers around him, then he can be like magic. but magic, without all those guys around him, would just be a pistol pete career. this is why scoring is the best thing.

who was that guy from kentucky that killed ball in march madness? id' take that guy possibly...good scorer, tall.

Lots of people in love with Ball but who are those consistent gunners that will be knocking down shots? We don't have those guys...I think we need playmakers ; we'll see what the FO does...

Meanwhile Lavar is pressuring that Lonzo becomes a Laker...Lekrs need to do what's best for the Lakers...

Magic was a threat, especially in the post. Which commanded double teams. Magic would slice apart the defense due to the fact that he can score, and being 6'9 to find the open man didn't hurt either.

I can hang with some of the technical debates over Jackson versus Ball, but it is hard to separate the draw that brought me to basketball and Sports in general... the passing skills and overall game of Magic Johnson. Lonzo is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Seeing so many people brag about jackson being the obvious choice at #2 in the draft discussion thread, after seeing the poll numbers, it seems it was just a way to yet again troll lonzo supporters.
Numbers don't lie, most of LG DOES want ball over Jackson.
No, the MAJORITY is not "crazy" or "stupid", and have "actually watched basketball before",,,

Unless i missed it, i dont see a lot of people bragging about Jackson being the obvious 2 pick. I do see people saying one of their reasons for picking Jackson is if picking ball is a package deal that includes the obnoxious ball. For me, I'm more intrigued with pairing ingram and jjax in the wings. If you need positions, place ingram at sg. 6'9 at 190ish should be fine. Rodney hood is like what... 6'8 at 215? That way, BI doesnt need to slam a ton of weight quickly at a higher risk of injury. If we can get fultz, though, that would be great.

Interesting to see many people talking about Ball fits into the system so we should draft him. I think we should just focus on who is the BPA.

I know I'll be in the minority, but I think Fox has star written all over him. I believe he will translate to the NBA more then Ball will and I'd strongly consider taking him at #2. Additionally, he torched Lonzo in their match up when it mattered the most.

We need a knockdown shooter. We already have enough players who can't shoot well.

If he can fix that 3 point shot you might be right

Knockdown shooters aren't acquired through the draft. That takes years to develop. For all the hype Fultz and Ball are getting, which is deserved, Tatum and Jackson could very well be the best players, especially considering their size.

I like Jackson, but kind of scared he becomes a Kidd-Gilchrist. I think Jackson is a better shooter, but I'll take my chances with Ball's star potential.

If Ingram pans out and we develop Jackson as a SG, we could have a lethal duo at the 2 and 3, who could defend and score.

He's not a SG. He's actually more of a PF at this point.

Maybe in college. Doesn't have the size for NBA 4.

Safest pick in Lonzo.

Lonzo is good but the workouts will be what matters. It sounds like Pelinka will rely heavily on interviews, I like that.

If we were really leaning towards taking Fox we should just trade down and take him since he will most likely still be available a few spots after 2, I'm thinking Sacramento for 5 and 10?

So we want Fox, move down, and someone drafts him before our pick. Not a good plan if Fox is your guy.

Ball, Jackson is real close to being my other pick though. I just hope Lavar does not end up being a distraction.

Does he have the drive to develop it is the question.

Maybe, but I think someone like Kawhi Leonard is the exception to the rule. Even Kawhi was a good FT shooter in college. I'm a big believer in FT shooting as a sign of how good a shooter you can be. Jackson has a long way to go.
