When DLo was a Laker, I liked him. I wanted him to do well.
I criticized his bad games.
I praised his good games.
I wanted him here to see how he plays with Lonzo.
But since he's traded and no longer a Laker, who cares if we bash him now?
Why do you feel compelled to bash him? It's like going out of your way to bash Goran Dragic or Tyler Johnson.
I'm a bit worried Ball's going to be surrounded by non-instinctual cutters in the starting lineup, which is going to lead to a few too many moments of half-court stagnation and Ball heaving up deep 3s.
KCP, BI, and Julius all have the talent, so hopefully Walton can get them more aware and more active working off of back cuts, split cuts, etc.
They have the talent but not the insticts to cut?
They have the athletic talent to be effective finishers off of cuts. If they have the instincts, too, then they've either been lazy or have been working in some terrible offensive systems (or with terrible PGs, if that's where you want to take this).

Goran Dragic is a prick though.
A talented prick on a non-playoff EC team who's not really worth the bandwidth to discuss on LG. But, yeah, he's a dirty mofo.

Kuzma and Hart will will be waiting in the wings for their chance.

Sounds good, and I like Nance-y as a cutter, as well.

Here's some more reassurance. Of the three you named, BI will have absolutely no problems cutting. He, along w/Ball, Kuzma, Hart, Nance, and maybe a couple of others, are ushering in a new breed of Lakers who have both talent and high bbiq's.
BI's has a scorer's mentality. He & Ball are going to figure out all kinds of ways to exploit defenses. Watch.

Lonzo will make players want to cut because he'll reward them more times than not. A lot of times players make lazy cuts because they know they aren't getting the ball anyway, so it's just wasted effort.

I don't think i bashed him, but I got no problem with anyone who does.

Sure it is.
Just like anyone going out of their way to defend a guy not on the team?

Cool, I have no problem with posters who defend him.

That's what I'm hoping, and Bruins fans certainly saw more cutting from BAlford and Hamilton last season when they knew Ball would find them consistently if they worked to get open.

Lonzo himself is an outstanding off the ball cutter. It wasn't really evident in summer league for a number of reasons. But with the big club, there are definitely guys on the roster who should be able to exploit that skill and set Lonzo up for buckets or hockey assists.

Nwamba was a good cutter as well, too bad we had to let him go _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season

Nwaba was a good player but like the Russell trade, there is positives, and if Pope ends up having a break out season we will quickly forget Nwaba was ever a Laker.

Does a good cutter create good passers? Or does good passers make good cutters?

It's more likely that some people will quickly get scared at the prospect of having to pay him this off-season for his breakout season before they'd forget about Nwaba. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Episode 4.
I love how the Balls care about winning more than stats.
Watched a few episodes and got the one where Lavar hired his brothers as his security team. Man, those guys are huge! They could play offensive line for the Oakland raiders. Seriously, Lonzo could legitimately end up being built like lebron by the time he's 25.
I remember during a predraft interview Lavar was predicting how his boys would turn out and one thing he emphasized about Lonzo was that Lonzo hasn't even acquired his "ball weight" yet. Looking at Lonzos dad and his uncles, he's gonna be a big guy. I'm very interested in seeing how this kid develops
Lavar is actually skinny, he just has a broad chest/shoulders. I thought he was a big dude too until he took his shirt off on Raw . I wouldn't expect Zo to get significantly bigger, he'll likely always be lean. Gelo looks like he got the buff genes. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."
