great game from Lonzo... this is the kind of point guard I like... pushes the ball, knows how to throw the outlet pass, and is not afraid of contact.... he drove the lane like a mad man in the 4th and got tons of clutch buckets....
looks like his head is pretty much straight too, it seems like he won't clash with coaches and teammates... what a nice pickup by Magic and Rob!! _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Lonzo couldn't even get a triple double. What a bust. |

Everybody has already stated the obvious.
My takeaway, he needs to dunk the ball at the rim when he can. |

no matter how you slice it - that is an outstanding line for a rookie in a second game in the NBA |

I think he drove more in one pro game than I saw him do entirely at UCLA. |

yes because a dunk score more than 2 pts... right?

i dont want to nitpick, but whats up with all those semi reverse left handed lay ups? i know he does that to elminate the angle to get blocked sometimes, but at other times he has a clear path to the right side of the rim for a layup. he blew so many layups today, mostly left handers.
ended up shooting sub .500. and 27 shots?!?! who does he think he is, kobe?

There was no chance this kid could be a bust. He has a confidence that believe it or not his dad instilled in him he was raised mentally tough so all the haters can forget it. All the players mad at his dad think they going to punk his son take notice. Stone Face is not going anywhere he's going to be great a long time. He's not emotionally unstable he is like Kareem mentally. Just cool |

I think my favorite play of the night is when he needed one more assist for the triple double and didn't really try for it. He even shot the ball instead because it was the right play. Totally doesn't care about stats.

Just to sweeten the pot, he did it against Bledsoe, a elite defensive player. |

My thoughts as well, I think he coulda had a few easy dunks
He will be a superstar in this league, walking triple double threat each night. Already has the vision, passing, and his rebounding has been great. Even his defense has been surprising thus far. Just needs to polish his offensive game.
Superstar in the making |
