He owns the 4th Q against the Suns, he bombs in the 4th Q tonight. Because he's a rookie.
or because it was the Suns? Time will tell.
Speaking of which, how is Josh Jackson doing?
I heard he has like 1 assist in three games.
He's averaging a rebound a game too... that versatility on display.
unfortunately for him, he does not get to play against the Suns....and have a single outlier game to inflate his numbers....you should check out his 3 point shooting....you know, since you guys were claiming the problem with him was he could not shoot....not like Lonzo.
He's shooting great! This shot was incredible, great form and think we'll be seeing more of it: https://streamable.com/gmhhq
At least he didn't kick a woman's car outside of Staples after the game.

Already almost averaging a triple double.
Dat Ball Boy is insane and he hasn't remotely scratched the surface.
Lets not forget he is 16-46 (34.8%) and 5-17 from 3 (29.4%).
And his on the ball D is pretty horrendous. Not saying he won't get better or that those averages won't go up, but he has his struggles too.
Regardless, you can tell that his impact on the floor is palatable. Those aren't Marshall assists he is getting. His ability to rebound is also pretty insane. I'm not sure there is a better rebounding guard out there right now other than Westbrook. Ball has the ability to surpass him there though. Really has a nose for the ball. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

He did play against the putrid Lakers. Where was his outlier game? Cause it won't get much easier than playing against this crap defense.
Magic expects Josh Jackson to average 30ppg (against bad defenses like ours) _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Move on to the next. Just going to check Lavar Ball's interview after this game. Against Pheonix he was all smiles wonder if he even showed up to this game.

Just out of curiosity, how many guys under twenty one have put up the numbers he put on the suns? On anyone? Including bad teams like the suns. Say in the last thirty to thirty five years? Should be a ton of bad teams and young guys throwing up those easy numbers. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Not taking anything away from his game, but how many under twenty one players have the green light to shoot 27 times in a game?
I'd say just in the last 2 years, you could say Booker, Turner, Skal and DLO had some pretty big games as under 21 players.

Those percentages will improve once he gets adjusted and more comfortable being aggressive with his own offense. That's the only part thats lacking in his game right now.

Lot of talented under twenty one guys in the last thirty years. Where's the easy numbers? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

I have a feeling we are going to be using Basketball Reference's gamefinder a lot this year to look at Lonzo's accomplishments.
Today, he was the first teenage rookie in the history of the NBA to put up 13 assists and 8 rebounds. (The only other teenager to do it was LeBron, who did it once, but in his second season).
Overall, I felt his game was mediocre, and I wish the Lakers would have won, but he is doing some amazing things. He could end up being the first player to have a career triple double average.

Having watched the whole game I don't know why people are down. Zo looked good to me. Set up our guys well, rebounded the ball, took good shots that didn't go in. He'd have had near 20 assists if guys hit easy shots. He threw some errant passes but that is to be expected; he is feeling out Luke's "offense" and is still getting to know guys' tendencies.
Zo would look even better if Kuzma was starting with him.

If you want to argue that he’s been bad on defense and hasn’t shot well, that’s fine. And you’d be right.
But trying to act like his numbers vs the Suns don’t count or something is just asinine and is embarrassing.
Tonight was the first night where I thought he was really bad on defense.
Compute the average of these 3 games: that is what you can expect at the end of the season.
Rebounds will stack up, no competition in the defensive end. The assists won't be far away from the current level, if he plays 35+ minutes and dishes off as often as he does, no worries.
The offense will vastly fluctuate, but there are so many crap teams, he'll score 15-20 easy with foul shots at the end of the game, being the PG.
The three point % is the disturbing pact. His shot is horrible, and should he try to reset the technique? No. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
