I won't count clippers. Something is off with him. He was making great passes first 5-7 games and all of a sudden is playing like he's always tired. |
Milwaukee wasn't a big game because why exactly? They have a better record than the 76ers and Giannis is a bigger star than anyone on Philadelphia. | it wasn't prime time though. And even so he only shows up and plays with fire when his shot is going down. But he is now Not even getting assists. Remember his 2 shot game, had low assists there too. I want him to do well but I'm big games where either people mocked him or are ready to go at him, he's shrank |
Neither was the second Washington game. Didn't prevent you from listing it as a 'big game.' Don't throw out your back moving those goalposts. |

He doesn't want to do anything... it's so disgusting to watch.
I am not saying this emotionally and have felt this way for quite someone but Simmons is miles ahead of Lonzo in every aspect: current impact, passing, mentality, potential, etc.
So awful to watch this. I understand why people are calling him a bust. |

Nice bricks Lonzo.
He's completely useless out there if he can't hit a shot. Defenses will just sag off of him.

He's not only missing, he's not even close. It's really disturbing. |

I know it’s the frustration of how badly he is playing this game but my expectations for him had come waaaay down. A good passing point guard, not a star. |

Besides the shot which is obviously a huge issue.. he seems to notice what is in front of him and then shy away and make a quick pass instead. Almost just to get rid of it...
That is what concerns me |

I'm not sure why you guys are surprised. All Lonzo's flaws now were already visible in college. Not that he can't improve them but if you guys expected ROY or some generational talent glimpses from the start you were in for a big disappointment |

Are we at the point where we starting counting Lonzo's shot attempts as turnovers? |

Yes, I think that we all thought we'd saw glimpses.
glimpse

No one expected him to be the worst shooter of all time. Not even a hyperbole at this point. |

It looks like picking up lonzo full court is the way to take him out of the game. Ullis did it in Phoenix and they're doing it here tonight |

Well thats not a good strategy for the Sixers because every time Ball goes out the Lakers play much better. |

I don't really see how his shot is going to to get any better. He was decent in college, but in the NBA the 3 point line is 2-3 further out, he needs his release to be much quicker and he's playing against taller defenders. Not only that but since his shot comes off his left shoulder guys will just stay on his left side. |

He shrinks on these nationally televised games on TNT or ESPN.
Clippers
Blazers
Celtics
Sixers
Just like he shrunk in the Sweet Sixteen. _________________ |

Ball is a bust. He's the worst shooter to come into the NBA in a long time, and he was the #2 pick in the draft.
If you can't shoot, you can't play.
Magic showed his inexperience and naiveté as a front office man by anointing Ball the savior of the franchise. That's exactly the wrong thing to do with a kid whose shooting is suspect. _________________ Jerry Buss made the Lakers into the crown jewel of the NBA. |

What? Everytime lonzo is on the floor they pick him up 94 feet and this causes isoball. Lonzo doesn't thrive in isoball
This is the key to taking him out of the game from the defensive perspective |

I get that he has trouble shooting, but he can barely make layups. This is ridiculous. And his passive demeanor is really worrisome for a PG. |

It's sad when ESPN went from showing head-to-head highlights of Simmons/Embiid vs Ingram/Ball to Ingram/Clarkson. They took Ball out. _________________ |

Ball's lack of aggression and inability to get to the risk are simply stunning for a guy hyped to his level. His typical play is to drive halfway to the rim and kick it out. Making it so easy on the defense. He has to continue to the rim and attack. We don't have the shooters for him to simply kick it out on every play. And then he becomes passive and is no longer involved. _________________ Jerry Buss made the Lakers into the crown jewel of the NBA. |
