Sometimes, little stuff like this makes a difference. He's making a statement by doing it.
KiROE's going to be happy at least.
KIROE!
I hope he plays with wearing undershirt. At UCLA and high school he wore an undershirt. Maybe he's more comfortable shooting with it on. Now it in the NBA he wearing no undershirt and maybe that's the difference. Even in practice he's usually wears something under his jersey.
I tweeted to Zo last week that I blame his hair for his bad shooting. Lol Maybe he thought so too and he could have a good night offensively tonight.

Lonzo will shoot at least 33% from tonight's game until the end of the season as long as he doesn't grow the Broccoli fro back. Heard it here first.
With any other player in the history of the NBA, that seems like a joke. But it's so sad that the bar is this low. Yes, it would be an improvement if he can shoot 33%.
Hopefully he can climb his way back to 35-40% by years end. I call the guys who shoot in this range home-builders with all the bricks they lay. Right now, Lonzo is building everything including Trump's wall. If he can just improve a bit and just focus on building homes, that would be great!
If any of this is Magic's fault, it's so minuscule it doesn't even matter. He was hyping the Lakers up for the world (and Lebron) to see. Ingram is living up to it. Maybe Lonzo will this season, maybe not, but to blame Magic is wrong. What about blaming his Dad for the hatred and unnecessary attention. How about blaming Lonzo for living inside his own head and not showing up for nationally televised games. How about blaming yourselves for wanting this guy just because he's from SoCal and played for UCLA. How about blaming DLO for Snapgate, showing up late for practices, not understanding Luke's defense even when they personally dumbed it down for him. And don't forget that time he kickied an in-bounds out of bounds putting the nail into his Lakers coffin. If DLO didn't do any of those things maybe we might have traded the #2 pick and not have to worry about Ball, although the Nets might have taken Kuzma and I'd rather have Kuz over DLO. How about blaming Gelo for being a idiot. How about blaming UCLA for putting Gelo in position to an idiot.
I'm just saying if there's someone to blame for Zo's struggles right now, pinpointing Magic alone is dumb. You don't want negative attention and added pressure? Don't have a tv show. Don't put out rap songs just yet. Don't worry about being a branding sensation. Just play and let these things come afterwards.
I see a lot of potential in Ball, and if he wasn't a Laker or the 2nd pick, the pressure and the spotlight would be different. How's Josh Jackson doing? Who knows? Who cares? But blaming Magic and only Magic is just ridiculous.
Well, everyone (media, Magic, Lavarr, talk radio, forum posters, shoe companies, reality tv, Laker fans) have spent almost a full year buulding up the hype in order to create the current absurd intractable mess that Lonzo/Lakers currently are sloshing around in. Aaaaand of course we’re only fifteen games into Season One (S1E16 airs Friday on TNT. Be sure to tune in. Did anybody know they can save 15% with Geico? Would anybody like to buy some Geico? Be sure to check out Geico at Geico.com. Geico. Save 15% or more with Geico.)
So.... errrr you got a lot of digging to get out of this mess. It will take very many words, lots of forum posts, words on the radio, tv faces saying things, at a strategic time Magic will make an appearance on Fallon or Kimmel, eventually this will all make sense and the Lakers championship swag will etc etc. But yeah so much diggng and reframing to do after biting off this much hype machine, your post is a good start keep digging/talking sir. Also we randomly drafted Kuzma, who possibly shouldve gone #1, so just in terms of actual basketball we are ok. YES we’d be better with DLO also but the Lakers didnt like or value him as a person to bring him along or forgive him, that is on the Lakers and Lakers only. LoL he was late for practice and had a turnover.
Ok but yes anyhow keep digging sir, we need lots of words because we been hyping this debacle all summer and all last year ok thanks please conntinue
also I am on record as saying Lonzo has Lebron/Rodman ears, which only great players seem to have. Also these ears will now be more clearly visible with the new haircut. So that is one optimism out of this weeks media cycle

Ears/balance was an idea for scouting things... _________________ Resident Car Nut.
In looking at the haircut video, it is very noticeable that Lonzo is left eye dominant. That's probably why the ball comes up the left side and through the middle when he shoots.
Going with the contrarian play and fired up Lonzo in my draftkings gpp contest tonight. No one is going to own him at $7.1K so hope he goes off with his new do. Haha
People were over the moon about Malcolm Brogdan with his 10.2 pts, 3.0 reb, 4.2 ast, last year. Lonzo's numbers are better 9.0 pts 6.6 reb, 7.0 ast. yet he is a bust. It's all about expectations.

Durant does the same thing (Less pronounced though) and is also left eye dominant. There was an article about it earlier this year.

If Lonzo shot 46% from the field and 40% posting his current numbers, people would be over the moon.
He doesn't even have to shoot that well. Just not 30%. It's gotta be the worst other than Marcus Smart who is just totally got the yips right now. So thats how off it is. About as much as someone whose got the yips.
We just need to be patient. I called him having a bad game last game. Tonight, I think he'll do much better.
Not a fan of this. Lonzo needs to be practicing in game style shots. Running up and down the court. Popping off screens, off the dribble, off the step back. This kind of shooting practice just isn't going to get it done.

Right. That kind of gather (bringing the ball all the way down before going back up) does not work well in-game. You go to any shooting coach and they’ll say the same thing.

Him hitting a open a shot right now wouldn’t get it done ? He is getting a ton of open shots in game. Nobody is respecting that jumper right now .. and tbh this it’s 15 second clip no telling what else he is working on .

These drills are useless to me. You don't get 5-10 shots in one spot in a row to find range and rhythm. Personally, I'd have the guy shoot from different spots every time and see how does there... with a hand in his face. Seriously. What's the point of this crap. This isn't a 3 point shooting contest. _________________ "He may say it's not you, it's him.... but it's really you."
Shows that his issues are confidence, nothing more. He will eventually be OK just right now he is thinking too much. Go back and look at Shawn Marion or Kevin Martin for odd looking shooting forms. The key isn't the form it is the arc and rotation of the ball. Certainly his shot isn't ideal for isolation shots but he will always be more of the catch and shoot type anyways.
