also I am on record as saying Lonzo has Lebron/Rodman ears, which only great players seem to have. Also these ears will now be more clearly visible with the new haircut. So that is one optimism out of this weeks media cycle

Not a fan of this. Lonzo needs to be practicing in game style shots. Running up and down the court. Popping off screens, off the dribble, off the step back. This kind of shooting practice just isn't going to get it done.
Right. That kind of gather (bringing the ball all the way down before going back up) does not work well in-game. You go to any shooting coach and they’ll say the same thing.
Does he normally jump forward when shooting? He's been shooting so bad I can't even remember.
Lonzo will shoot at least 33% from tonight's game until the end of the season as long as he doesn't grow the Broccoli fro back. Heard it here first.
This video is already out-of-date. Jaylen Brown still has his flat top and he's shooting above league average (37%). And Gary Harris has been absolutely money the past two years (42% and 44% currently).
I wouldn't say Gary Harris's hair is anything close to a fro. His hair is closer to a buzz cut than a fro. It's not an end all be all analysis where everyone that has puffy hair and vice versa can and can't shoot. You will find outliers, even though I wouldn't call Jaylen anything close to a great shooter.
People on this board pointed to Brandon's improved shooting after he got rid of his fro last year. Let's wait and see what happens these next few games.
Watch the video. He literally says Gary Harris' puffy hair is enough to alter his shot: . D'Angelo's 3PT% has gone down (not up) with his new twists. There's zero correlation between long hair and 3PT performance even with the people he cites in the video itself. If there was any correlation, Robert Covington should be shaving his head because he could be hitting 60% from distance.
This video's reasoning is garbage, and I take people about as seriously as flat-earthers when they cite this video as proof of anything.

It’s not concrete proof but he cites good examples. If you don’t agree with it, doesn’t disprove it. Every shooter has a different release point. Maybe you’ve never played basketball before so you may not have first hand experience but there are many examples of shooters changing their release point.

His own video doesn't even agree with him.
Of course if you over simplify it , it won't make sense. There are a lot of cases both ways. And it's not just about shooting the 3 well. It's about shooting shots well contested and fixing an outward release. It's also 12 games into the season, so we'll see if Jaylen Brown continues to shoot well. It's not a black and white thing, although common sense does say it has some form changing effect - an object being in the way of where you take your stroke - there's a lot of different ways that change can manifest --- it can also be positive sometimes - making a player cockback less and have more of a one motion stroke, or go over the hair with a higher set-point. My point is, it has an effect, which is blatantly obvious common sense - an object in the way of where you take your stroke
