I mean. My MOM is a better FT shooter than he is. And i am not even kidding.

For Fck sake. I want to support Lonzo but he just is so horrendous in anything shooting related that it becomes hard to take him seriously.

The FT question is absolutely unacceptable and mind boggling. How did he make it in the NBA has a PG who cannot hit a FT, is a mystery that must be explained.

He is rushing everything and his form is inconsistent.

I am one of the biggest Lonzo backers on this board, but I agree that his FT shooting is completely unacceptable at present.

He needs to get a lot better at it, now.

I love lonzos potential and his overall savy high IQ game.. But if the blazzers offered Lillard for Lopez, Clarkson & Lonzo what would magic say?

PG.Lillard / Ennis
SG.PG13 / Hart
SF.Ingram / Brewer
PF.Kuzma / Nance
C.Randle / Bogut

That team would be beautiful.

Lillard is nice, but that's a no for me.

Yeah. I didn't expect a guy that's supposed to bring back our winning tradition to crack under pressure almost every time he's at the free throw line. Very disappointing. I hope he figures out how to get mentally tougher soon.

Here's an interesting tidbit.

Only four players in NBA history have ever averaged 6 rebounds, 7 assists and .95 blocks per game in a season:

Lebron James
Draymond Green
Larry Bird
Lonzo Ball

If Lonzo gets 2 blocks in his next game, he will be up to 6, 7 and 1, which only Lebron and Draymond have done.

It's safe to assume that Wilt did this twice too (in the two seasons that he got more than 7 assists per game), but they didn't measure blocks back then .

It is a tiny sample size. Just to compare, Lonzo has missed 18 free throws in 25 games. That is less than one free throw missed per game. Simmons missed almost as many free throws in a single game (14) as Lonzo has missed in the entire season (18).

If Lonzo had hit an additional free throw every other game, he would be shooting at 84% right now.

Or, here is another way to think about it. If Lonzo were hitting 80% of his free throws, Lakers would have 11 more points on the season. If Brandon Ingram were hitting 80% of his free throws, Lakers would have 19 more points on the season. If Ben Simmons were hitting 80% of his free throws, 76ers would have 32 more points on the season.

Lonzo's bad free throw shooting is costing the Lakers some points, but it has a petty minor effect so far.

He is shooting 67% (on typically tiny sample size) over the last 5 games--matching his college shooting percentage--and I expect him to continue improving.

if your saying it's mental being below 50%...maybe...but there are mechanical problems with that free throw that will likely always prevent him from being a "good" free throw shooter.

hell yeah...but Blazers would never agree. Interesting though that Lillard and JC's per 36 numbers are very similar.

Lillard - 25 PPG / 5 RPG / 6 APG -- 42% FG% & 35% 3FG%

Clarkson - 24 PPG / 5 RPG / 5 APG -- 49% FG% & 37% 3FG%

It seems like it would be hard to be consistent with the cross body shot that Lonzo has.
Like maybe he should copy Jamall Wilkes shot. At least it is consistent with being on one side of the body and straight up.

If Lonzo can get a form that he can repeat on a constant basis the problem should be solved.

a funny thing I noticed...if you look at those "stills" on ESPN video's of Lonzo shooting....the video players with the play button in the center of the picture....if you never knew or heard of Lonzo Ball and looked at one of those images before hitting play.....you would have no idea he is shooting. Looks like he is either going to pass or is jumping up to catch a high pass.

most of the Lakers have two days to rest and check out Manhattan...Lonzo is scheduled to join his dad at one of his swap meet stands to hock apparel at a shoe pawn shop near Greenwich Village.

Appears to be a high end clientele......

Today I’d say Tatum was the best player in the past draft. No
way we get offered Lillard.

If Lakers could use Lonzo to dump Deng and get back a young player, they should seriously consider it.

Lonzo + Deng would open $25m in cap-space and give you room to keep Clarkson, Randle and sign 2 stars.

My personal favorite is Lonzo + Deng for Dunn + Miroctic. Dunn would give you a defensive minded PG that could be a good piece with 2 max stars.

Kris Dunn, who in his second season has a PER of 14, still shows little progress offensively, and who is overrated (badly overrated) as a defender should be a piece coming back in a Ball+Deng trade? Go watch some Wolves games and Dunn's defense has been poor; which is surprising given his reputation and his head coach. If Lonzo is drawing such ire, I can only imagine how this Board would respond when Dunn is asked to run Walton's sets and how Dunn would function in that system (he doesn't have a very high Bball IQ, if you watch games).

Anyway, I'll keep the 20 year old with two triple doubles and who has shown tremendous help defense potential and adequate (which I think will improve) on ball defense.

What Lonzo needs from what I see, more than shooting, is working on explosion off of one foot. Ingram has learned how to do it, and Lonzo desperately needs it. Then, he needs to have someone teach him how to use a Euro step. I think both would allow him to play faster and up to the speed he showed in high school and college.

Before the season started, Lonzo said he felt strength would be the biggest issue. I think that has proven true. It's affecting how he drives and his shot. But, I do think we are starting to see Lonzo turn the corner and I think his averages will begin creeping up.

Hard to take your post seriously when you don't even have the guy's team right.

High end stores do pop up shops, I'm sure BBB made good $$$.
It's not some street vendor thing, Shake shack did a pop up shop in west hollywood that killed it- made the decision easy for putting in a permanent store.
In n out burger did a pop up in australia that had like a six hour long line to get a burger, its the new way of brick and mortar.
Advantage-BBB.

For all the criticism of Lonzo, would anyone disagree that he would easily have like 5-6 triple doubles if not for Luke sitting him out /or because he gets in foul trouble, I mean is he supposed to play like God for people to be satisfied?
