Agree, when I say that I preferred Tatum, it doesn’t mean I am bummed that we got Lonzo. I just saw more potential Kobe in Tatum. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Tatum is doing nice in Boston, but I'm glad we got Lonzo as well. |
At this very moment if I'm drafting for a good team I take Tatum then Lonzo.
If I'm drafting for a bad team I take Lonzo then Tatum. I think they made right choice.
When its all said and done I still believe Lonzo will be the top off the class. |

Dunc'd On did their annual Top 10 Young Players in the NBA last week....none of our guys made the top 10 list or honorable mention. It is limited to guys 23 and under. The only rookies in the Top 10 (which they consider project to be future all-star talent) was Simmons, Tatum, Dennis Smith Jr., Fultz and Mitchell.
Fox was in Honorable Mention (which they consider has shown fringe future all-star talent).
The last category is Players to Watch (which they consider do not currently project to be future all-stars, but have an outside chance at developing into future All Star). We had 4 guys in that category in the order of Ingram, Ball, Kuzma and Randle. Markkanen was also a rookie in this category.
Last year, DLo was in Honorable Mention, and Ingram and Randle were in Players to Watch. |

I look forward to giving Danny Leroux (bleep) about De'Aaron Fox being on his list for years to come. Last year, Nate was on our show saying he had Ingram on the same level as Juancho Hernangomez and Thon Maker.
When I think your Brandon Ingram take grossly underrates him, it might be time to reconsider it. |

Nate used to be very very low on Ingram....but I think he is coming around slowly on him. If I recall, he was all in on Brown over Ingram in that draft. I think they are smart....I respect them and their opinions....but I only agree with them 60ish% of the time.
Do not quote me on this, but I think this year pre-draft....they were Fultz, Dennis Smith Jr., Ball, Tatum...
btw, the Ode to Oden (Cole Zwicker and Sean ?) guys re did their 2016 draft last week....and they all still had Ingram firmly as the #2....with a bit of separation behind #1 (Simmons) and ahead of #3.

Same goes for B Griffin too. |
Eh. Lots of guys come into the league and do great as rookies, and there have been guys injured as rookies who didn't seem to get much benefit from that "year of NBA coaching, diet, training and mentorship." Looking at you Nerlens Noel.
I'd actually go the other way, and include as rookies anyone who was limited to 5 or less games their first year because of injuries. |

I love listening to these guys but Danny had OG Anuoby on his honorable mention list over Zo, Kuzma, and Ingram |

I know they have a wide base of knowledge but I deliberately don't listen to their podcast because I don't always think it's fair analysis.
Low on the list with a methodology? Yeah sure. Not on the list at all? Nope. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Same as Randle... Oh wait I guess playing 14 minutes more than these guys makes a world of difference. |
Once you collect an NBA check, your rookie season has begun. I don't know why the NBA does this crap.
Mitchell is the ROY right now. Simmons is having a great sophomore season. |

We're all right and wrong about a lot of things when it comes to the young prospects, but this is the type of take that makes me question how well someone understands how the game works. OG Anunoby - who I do like - has the responsibility of playing solid perimeter defense and finishing the most obvious (12.7 USG%) of shots. He's filled that role well, but this is a completely different situation from a lot of young around the league who bear a much greater burden.
Maybe he develops into more, but saying that you have him at that level after what we've seen of him would be like saying that Nance is our best young player. |

I don't know, man, this kid has got it. I don't know how to quantify it.
I don't know, maybe I'm high on this Kobe moment. |

Wasn’t his fault, he was aggressive.
Maybe Luke should stop calling for switches on every (bleep) defensive possession |

He needs to shoot more pull up mid rangers. That one in OT was perfect form. Didn't expect that. |

Very good game. Even the last drive was the right decision, West just made a good block. He is comfortable with the speed of the NBA game now. |

Almost like people predicted this during the middle of his miserable shooting performances in October/November... |

He carried them offensively in OT, I don't mind him taking that last shot. He needed to go fast and that's what he did. West made a great play. |
