Sessions would be an upgrade over the current backup PGs for sure.

You can really see Lonzo's effect when he's not out there. Part of that is not having quality backups, but part of it is also that he's really good.

Anyone know the story on Lonzo? Like, what happened? I know what is reported is that he just woke up that way but, seems, fishy.

Clarkson probably sneaked into his hotel room and hit Lonzo's knee with a hammer.

Tweaked it on the post-up dropstep in OT vs DSJ.

Over the past 5 weeks: #Lakers with Lonzo Ball are 5-6, while they're 0-7 without him + Lonzo's shooting *39% from three & averaging 13.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.3 steals in 36.5 minutes per outing...btw, he's selling jerseys, too:

Not too shabby.
The unfortunate thing about starting off slow with scoring, is that a narrative gets built that's hard to change unless you play like a freak. Getting to decent status doesn't change the narrative fast enough.

Yeah you still quite regularly hear other teams broadcasters talk about his shooting woes, without mentioning how much better he has been shooting since December.

The NBA experts claim

He has to change his shot
He plays no defense
The Lakers should trade him
And my personal favourite-he should check his dad

Mostly just nonsense

He's also battling grown men while his own body isn't fully developed yet.

It's called being a rookie not named Lebron.

Would you guys say Ball will have a greater, equal, or less impact when compared to prime Rondo?

About the same type of impact just without dominating the ball but also being able too shoot and catch lobs.

prime Lonzo will play like a 30ish year old Jason Kidd, after he learned to shoot and no longer dominated the ball as much. Elite passing + elite rebounding + elite defense. Solid three point shooting.

Unfortunately Prime Rondo came a few seasons too late for that Celtics team. He won the championship as a rookie but his Prime was probably the same season where Lebron scored 48 vs the Celtics and won his first title. One of the best Lebron games ever by the way. That's when he became the King.

They can continue to be delusional. I especially like it if the defenders buy in and don't close up on him. Don't mind at all if Lonzo had to shoot wide-open threes instead of the contested ones.

He's surpassed my expectations this year, pretty much far surpassed. I'm elated at how good he is and his potential. He's the draft pick I was itching for. Gunna be a top 20 player at least. Did not expect a 2way super impact dude
