if anything, this 0-8 lonzo-less run with many blowouts has changed media narrative from “Is he a bust?” to “Is he the most underrated player?” and “Is he the most valuable rookie?” |

I'm really looking forward to seeing this kid with a actual talent in the rookie game.
Think about it. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to see what the big deal is.
Huge event for potential free agency |

I wouldn’t take it that far... its just an exhibition game where nobody plays d. Rookie games are just filled with rookies |

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s shut down until the ASB.... it seems like he won’t be 100% this year. |

That would be 12 games. No need to wait that long. I understand how the coaching staff would like to be extra cautious but we need him to play as long as he’s healthy. He’s been listed as Day to Day so I think it’s just a pain tolerance issue for Zo. Quite honestly, I don’t think Zo has a high pain tolerance. Hopefully, his tolerance builds up over the years. |

It just seems weird that he comes back and is out again and like you said hopefully he adapts to injuries more easier as he matures... |

I get the same impression. Not every player can be like Kobe and Larry Bird when it comes to tolerating ridiculous amounts of pain. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

As much as I’d love to see him play with some of the other young players, he needs to sit out the ASG. |

Motherfawker. Is Kyrie playing on Tuesday. I don't think they want Zo to come back just in time for him to get skewered by Kyrie and for us to get thumped by the well coached Celtics. |

Imo you're supposed to get hurt when you're least physically ready for the league.. These aren't even anything close to longterm injuries.. just little nicks... I'm not going to be worried about nicks |

Put on some mass during off season. Last thing we want to see is an injury proned Lonzo. I think we might have overused him a bit. He was averaging over 30 minutes a game prior to getting injured. We were supposed to ease him in slowly. |

Mild knee sprain is a bit of a concern, but not unusual and not worth losing too much sleep over. He'll get strength training this summer. I think this is a lack of pain tolerance on the part of Magic and Luke as much as Lonzo, and that's probably wise when it comes to knee sprains.
As for the longer layoff he just got over, that was an arm hook by Nurkic. Screwed up his shoulder for a while, not a leg, foot or back, he'll recover just fine. Even seasoned players aren't immune to dirty plays, perhaps just a bit better at anticipating them.
Frustrating he's out, but a lot of the one year college rookies are dealing with very similar injury bugs. |
