Hope he has a good game, we win and the complaining subsides for at least a bit. I still think hes our best player but some say I'm crazy.

Yeah. That’s accurate.
As was mentioned, his footwork is floppy. I’m sure he’s experiencing fatigue but his balance, in the worst moments, looks like a grade schooler. |
Yeah. Lacks a lot of consistency on his shoot, footwork all over the place. These are things he has to focus on this summer. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

He was doing a good job of this before injury, hopefully he picks up where he left off. |

Agreee.
Kobe’s the guy whenever we talking footwork. But I don’t know if that’s gonna happen. I’m sure there are other people out there that could help him achieve good results. As you note, it’s the painful inconsistency with his shot that highlights his need for stability.
I guess the frustration comes from the fact that he seemed to be discovering a nice little groove just prior to the injury and now, he’s looking (IMO) more erratic than ever. Factoring the injury into it just throws a whole other set of issues into the mix to contend with.
The guy needs reps but he also needs to be healthy. The off-season is where he’ll have the opportunity to really make some foundational improvements that will hopefully pay dividends going forward. _________________ We back.

I'm still very high on Lonzo. But if he could really change his shot and be more consistent, he can be a deadlier scoring threat. It's so inconsistent which is why his offensive scoring output is also all over the place. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

the reason that has been the case because his teammates and the coaching staff were not trying to draw up plays/schemes to get him open looks. again, go back to his days at UCLA. no one had a real issue with his offense then. you know why? he was consistent. You know why? they ran things to get him off, either on or off ball at times. the lakers recently started doing that. which is why you finally started seeing that back door lob play(thats a UCLA special.) I said this early in the season. there's a way to get zo off offensively. now does that make the TEAM better? i dont know. and perhaps thats why luke wasnt worried about doing that. zo is not the type of player thats going to score 90% of his points off the dribble. he's going to pass it up early, run around. and hopefully if they dont score already, he gets it back in a nice situation to score. thats what ucla was doing. he doesnt need to be money from 3. i wish he were. but its not a necessity. he just needs to not be afraid to take shots when he has open looks but they also need to get him better open looks in areas where he's best at scoring. This is what you dont realize is going on with some of your other favorite scorers. you dont realize the schemes are designed for them to take as many shots as possible in their hot areas and not their cold areas. sure they have more hot areas than zo. still not the point. the point is, thats huge difference if one guy is getting things ran for him to be successful while the other guy is just left out there to make up his own stuff as a rookie. |

Lonzo's scoring will come from 3 and at the rim. Right now I'm talking about working on that 3 point shot, which he was showing some signs of improved efficacy. But the consistency isn't there b/c he has inconsistent mechanics and footwork. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

He showed beautiful form on one 10 foot jumper going right (the bugaboo for him coming out of college) against the warriors that splashed through the net and gave me a lot of hope for him reworking his shot going forward. He hasn’t shot one since.
Lots to work on that could catapult him to the next level but we’ll see. _________________ We back. |

No, they are being careful for him just like any team will do with there franchise player.... he is 20 let’s keep that in mind he has a good 15-18 years In the NBA if they don’t monitor him now he will end up having issues down the road.... |

It makes sense to keep him out for now on a 2nd game of back to back, but right now he is no different than Embiid...until proven otherwise. |

Embiid didn't hit the court for his first two seasons. Not at all the same thing. Even if it was, wouldn't you want Embiid on your team now? _________________ Not a legend |

Yeah. Can we question Lonzo's durability and propensity for injury? Yes.
Is he at Embiid territory? Nope. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Just reading some of these pathetic responses makes one wonder if any of you are Laker fans. I get having an opinion no matter how ridiculous it may be but damn this board with it's advanced scouts and medical personel is just crazy. _________________ Winning is all that matters!! |

No reason to potentially aggravate a knee injury. It makes sense to keep his minutes low tonight and to keep him out tomorrow. I just hope this doesn't keep popping up. |
