TooMuchMajicBuss wrote: | Luke was real clear late January that Lonzo would be evaluated for any knee pain the day after his first full workout, the day after his first full practice, and the day after his first full game, before he's cleared to take any subsequent steps in each instance. No matter how good Lonzo might feel they weren't going to play him today on a back to back after his first game coming off the injury. I'm going to guess they keep the minute restriction for a few more games.
That said, I'm hoping Lonzo's pain free now. Laker FO is being extra cautious IMO but I can't blame them.
Ankle sprain - not unusual for any player
Shoulder pull - unusual but it came from contact, and is not in a spot prone to continuous injuries
Moderate MCL sprain - that requires some attention but not panic, just want to treat that one with caution. Let it heal. Don't want continuous injuries there. |
With you on your last paragraph 1000%.
But I also gauruntee he's still got pain today. He was really slow yesterday. Looked 70%. I would let him miss one more game until Thursday, to see if we can get him more in the clear.. |

Said it before and I'll say it again. Would not trade Lonzo straight up for ANYONE in the league. |

Yup, they just didn't want him to play back to back coming off his injury, so being extra careful. He should be good to go for the rest of the season hopefully, he is so exciting to watch. |

Anybody care to explain what PIPM stands for and what it means? I mean it's cool Lonzo is apparently a top 5 NBA player over a 5 game span in regards to it but I haven't got a clue what it actually means.
Sometimes I feel advanced statistics are getting saturated to the point you could make up an acronym, put a number with a decimal place after it and convince somebody out there the player ranks highly in it.
"Ivica Zubac ranks in the 89th percentile in OCFS boasting an impressive OCFS of 18.4 per 36 minutes (non pace-adjusted)"
Baseball has a lot to answer for. |

Lonzo has looked good in limited minutes since he came back. 11 points (58.3% fg, 66.7% 3p, 100% ft), 7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 steals in just 20.5 minutes |

Ball said he felt good once he warmed up. Good to hear.
He's getting his game back. And it looks like he's been honing in that shot after all. |

This is UCLA Lonzo. After his first couple of months in the league, he's started to get comfortable with his shot again. Sky's the limit with this one. |

No....he faked the knee injury so he could work on his rapping career and signing $200 autographs.

Lonzo has never been a problem. Give him shot makers and offense will dazzle. His defense and rebounding are added bonuses. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Going on non-Laker threads it's amazing how many people think that's true. They also haven't paid attention to his shooting stats since about mid-November. |

Exactly. He would be so much better if he just focused on the game.

Plaschke wanted to trade Lonzo two months (or less) ago.
The lesson as always? Plaschke is a moron. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |
