It's pretty unbelievable - His dad is looking like a genius. Because of the circus he created, no one will take/trade for his son.
Are the Lakers trying to trade him?
Any sane person would try to trade him instead of Ingram (and Kuz, for that matter).
So, we don't know who, if anybody the Lakers have tried to trade?
The Lavar noise was as loud before the draft last season and if we assume Magic and Rob are sane, they drafted him at #2. _________________ Previously LBJ23
Josh Hart says Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma and the Lakers' young core remain tight and reiterated that all the social media back and forth was light-hearted "fun." Hart said Ball's diss track on Kuzma was "interesting" but that all the roasting remains in the spirit of good-natured roasting. "We are 22, 23-year-old kids, we are just taking little subtle jabs and that kind of thing," Hart said as he and LA Chargers defensive end Isaac Rochell hosted a free screening of "Uncle Drew" for 200 local youth from local nonprofits like Brotherhood Crusade, Boys and Girls Club Venice and The Right Way Foundation in Los Angeles. "It is nothing more than that. We are all close off the court. And that is all it is, just messing around, having fun. We are cool off the court, we are cool on the court. That wasn't anything."
It's been a long time since I've liked a player as much as Josh Hart. This young core as a whole are just a pretty likeable bunch. They take it seriously but they have fun too and they've got each others backs.

If that is true (I don't think it is) he is also dumb because when the extension comes the Lakers can offer 10 cents on the dollar for his next contract. "Nobody else will wants him anyway"

He was also the worst offensive guard in the NBA, a positive plus a negative equal a negative #quickmaths
I thought this comment may have been sarcasm, but I don't see the font, so I guess I'll respond.
First, I'm suspicious that higher math principles may have eluded you. A positive plus a negative without the inclusion of defining intergers would equal a net zero. A better hashtag may be #quickmathsfailures
Second, I don't quite understand this narrative, except it is done by people who haven't really looked into Ball's numbers or analytics and looked at his shooting percentages (which were woeful, I'll admit). Ball was one of three rookies from his draft class this year with a positive BPM and RPM. His BPM was better than Tatum and Mitchell. He was top 3 in his position for rebounds, steals, and total defense. I think he was top 15 in the entire NBA in defense (guess what, Tatum and Mitchell -- who are deemed offensive stalwarts, weren't top 15 in the entire league in offense, let alone defense). His DBPM and DRPM was off the charts. He had a 1.7 VORP. Historically, players who as rookies generate net positive BPMs, RPMs, and VORPs like that become allstars. That is a generalization, certainly. You'll find a Tyreke Evans who fails the analysis. But in general, players who do that in their rookie years have a pretty high chance of being allstars.
Next, as long as MCW is in the league, no player will be able to be deemed the worst offensive player in the league. As an aside, Fox, Dennis Smith Jr., MCW, and a few others were far, far worse offensively then Ball this year looking at VORP, BPM, and RPM. Shooting percentages don't tell the whole story. 7.1 assists per game and a 2.7 assist to turnover ratio as a 20 year old, obviously, means something.
I've said this several times: Ball is raw and needs to work on his offensive game. It is up to him to seriously work on his game and fix those glaring weakenesses. But people keep throwing around these sort of half-hearted (half something else too) comments with no foundation; or in this case which entirely obviates general, simple mathematical principles.
Also, if my analysis is right and given how the Lakers seem to be applying analytics, I think it is highly, highly unlikely the Lakers trade him. Just a hunch.
That’s accurate. If he can get to league average in shooting while maintaining his defense, he’ll be a good player. I’m not sure about all star status, because there is a high premium on scoring from PGs in this era of the NBA. But he could put himself in the conversation. The problem is that league average in shooting may be easier said than done.

Ingram went from putrid to passable as a shooter in one off-season. Fingers crossed for Ball. _________________ Under New Management
every summer....can nearly set your watch by when the added muscle pictures/stories come out. Not directing anything towards you...but me and a friend (Magic fan) was laughing about this this past week....and admitting we still get sucked in by them. He called it a symptom of "lottery disease"....always looking for any sign of hope.

And of all those stories, this is the time you decide to bring it up. Interesting.
