Joel has a great radio voice but his delivery bored me to sleep. He was very workmanlike in his play by play but his takes were uninteresting and often irrelevant.
Glad when the Lakers got rid of him. |

What was Lonzo being damaged goods in reference to?
If I were Joel, I'd probably be somewhat resentful of the Lakers too. Stu Lantz was frequently a jerk to him on air for no reason and Billy MacDonald pretty much stabbed him in the back to get his job. |
I never heard about the back stabbing. What's that about?
But I agree that Stu was a jerk to him. I remember Joel ate, slept and crapped basketball, and Stu was too cool for that. When Joel spit out an impressive fact or stat, Stu would act like, "You have no life." |

| I have not thought highly of the broadcast guys for several years, but I do not really know who was when or why someone left.....also, my guess it was meant to be a swipe, but if he meant that his value is currently diminished because of the injury and shooting %, then he is correct. In the same way that DLo is damaged goods, or even Embiid remains slightly damaged goods for another year if you believe that a player needs to show two seasons of mostly healthy play to not be considered injury prone. I think trading Lonzo now would likely return a lower value than if he missed only 3 games this season because on injury. |

Far from being mistaken as an impartial observer, Joel can't see Laker colors without impugning something about the club with his next sentence. I always figured he never got over the club letting him go. |

It’s unfortunate that we have arrogant media guys stirring the pot to fit a narrative, we know that Lonzo and Rondo respect each other and both will need to earn a starting role, there is plenty of time for Lonzo to get his feet wet to get the starting job by Opening night against Portland. |

something about Lonzo just annoys the hell out of me... feels like he's trying way too hard.
ps- this wasn't here yesterday so given tattoos require some (minimal) down time before perspiration and activity, not the best look considering the timing is the day of training camp |
