Hart is solid.

Kuz has regressed and BI hasn't improved a whole lot.
How has Hart been solid? He's been awful for going on two seasons now. Atrocious defender and mediocre/limited offensive player. Only positive attributes are decent three point shooter and decent rebounder for a guard. He's basically a stretch 4 without the size, which is brutally bad.

Agreed that Lonzo continues to look outstanding, rounding into last seasons form tonight after a pedestrian game 1. We need to get him more minutes.

BI will always be a limited player with his current frame but he has moments.i think he would be better off the bench though once we get a true starting caliber SF or PF to pair with LeBron. Like that BI showed a little dog tonight though.

Kuz is the same player we've seen minus the hot streak of offense last year. Hopefully he snaps out of it and can become decent offenseively because his defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Obviously most of our problems could be fixed if we could get a Brook Lopez level center but Brook desrvedly got a Max deal... Oh wait we are paying Lance Stephenson more than BroLo could have been had for....

Hart is a decent shooter, great in transition and attacking closeouts. Great finisher and rebounder. Bad perimeter defense against guards/wings but good defense against bigger players. Yeah that's not bad for a 30th pick.

Sounds a little underwhelming for a 30th pick. Give me Nance, Damian Jones, Rudy Gobert, Draymond Green in that range. I would say Hart would be decent for an undrafted player. He was getting eaten alive by bigger players just one game ago against Blazers. His defense killed us tonight. Overplayed Harden constantly leading to silly fouls and then gets burned every play in isolation still on top of it. Watch Zo guard Harden, and then Hart, it's night and day. Throw in the bad decision making/turnovers and he buried us almost singlehandedly. I don't know what he provides us that a guy like Travis Wear doesnt, expect for the false perception that he can guard the perimeter. Note that Travis Wear was undrafted and just got cut...

Love Lonzo. Didn't love his over-zealous contested off the dribble 3 but in hindsight I prefer confidence over his no-confidence airballs.

Shooting is probably the only part of his game he got to improve this summer dealing with that injury . So I expect the improvement there.

Wish he could of had the offseason to work other aspects of his game like the other young guys but it is what it is .

Don't know why people are arguing BI not doing well in both games, when BI defends Harden and CP3 at times passed to another player on the perimeter, BI did bug some of those shots.

He also didn't have many opportunities. He had 3 shots in the 1st and second quarters, I believe. Definitely under 10 shots. And he wound up with over 60% shooting, sure he missed some shots, but he is doing a ton better than Kuz, at least BI can bring you defense

I know GT harps about BI not being able to defend guards that well, but there were a couple times he bothered CP3 on shots with his long arms. One caused an airball (or maybe BI blocked it, not sure). I am pretty happy with BI defensively but I must say I never watch the weak side so for all I know he's falling asleep routinely there

Besides CP3 catching one to the face, Zo was the best thing about this game tbh.

Should be against floppers like Harden.

I'm kinda thinking Lonzo and Rondo should be the starting and closing backcourt actually.

I hope seeing more guys guarding that flopper with their arms literally behind their backs to avoid bs fouls draws more attention to Harden's nonsense.

It could be feasible , assuming Lonzo is shooting well enough to play alongside Rondo.

1. Rondo, Lonzo, Ingram, LeBron, McGee
or
2. Rondo, Lonzo, LeBron, Kuzma, McGee
or
3. Lonzo, Ingram, LeBron, Kuzma, McGee

Personally I think I like the 2nd or 3rd best. I feel we would be best playing guys at their natural positions, Bron at the 3 & Kuzma at the 4.
The only issue would be one of Lonzo or Ingram playing out of their normal position to make it work.

Ideally I’d like to have all of BI Kuz & Bron on the court at the same time, without having Kuz at center .

Come to think of it I actually don’t like the first option at all lol

Like others have said, if Lonzo is hitting 3s it’s a no brainer to have a Rondo/Lonzo backcourt for significant minutes.

Hart can handle the 3 in small ball, 3 guard type lineups.

Since Lonzo is a perfect FT shooter now, the RondoZo pairing could work to close games.

Harden loves to rip through and get fouls so Lonzo was doing the right thing to prevent it... also the cocky "I can guard you thing" simultaneously.

His D on Harden was fantastic. Hart was good and stretching his arms out but keeping them pulled backwards. Still was a little to contest every move happy.

Hopefully Lonzo meets this challenge and raises his intensity level
in games. This is a great opportunity for him next to LeBron.
