Blazers need amazing games from their two small guards to win against good teams. With ZO, Ingram starting against them, I expect us to sweep them or win in 5 in playoffs with Bron playing up to standards obviously. Hope we finish 2nd seed. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

I hope he gets back to the point athletically where he's causing mayhem on D and getting stocks again. He only has 1 block on the year after averaging 0.9 last year. Even then, he's been good on D. |

Lonzo’s confidence finishing at the rim is the lowest I’ve seen from a point guard. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

He’s not doing the crazy jumps in traffic he was last season, which was how he was getting a lot of his blocks (and boards). Might be him trying to protect his health more or he might still be trying to gain confidence in the knee. |

Great game from Zo tonight. Good defense on Lillard, hit good % from threes. The issue is scoring from inside, but hopefully that comes. |

This is the time to see if he's a keeper or not. |

Good game by Zo, but Luke probably still doesn't play him in 4th if Rondo didn't break his hand. Now watch Luke play Caruso to close games instead of Zo...lol |

Yea. Glad he got to play a lot more in the 3rd quarter though. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

I think Lonzo will have longer leash with Rondo out so I expect more games like the Nuggets one. He will be allowed to play through couple of mistakes. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

He's gonna have his bad games still, that's just the kid. I think what we should look for is how he battles through them |

Nice one. But he need to take these open 3s especially when he is hitting them. Now when Rondo is out he can play without thinking about the mistakes. Hope he can use this time properly. |

Played great D when matched up on Lillard tonight. Hit some nice 3s and a pull up J. He really needs to do something about his ATROCIOUS finishes in the paint. |

He definitely leaves a lot to be desired with his layups. Even when DFish would try and layup at least he went up with intent. It just looks like Lonzo shies away from contact every time. He needs to watch tape of a young Tony Parker to develop a floater and find ways to get up layups in the paint without getting blocked each time. He put on the weight this summer, but he hasn't really been using it to initiate the contact in the paint to create space for his layups. |

Great off-ball game. Screens were giving Lebron windows to shoot or attack. They're closing out hard to him!! That means they respect his shot, however erratic his misses are. That whip pass to KCP was amazing.
I think of this year as an extension of his rookie year. He only played 58 and didn't do a lot of skills work over the summer due to his injury. He's still learning how to play in this league. |

The one where he was trying to use up clock at the end of the game? |
Yeah, but there were still 2-3 minutes left. He was 3-5 from 3 for the game. How many 38% 3 point shooters pass that up? |

I think he passed up the shot to use up clock.
As opposed to passing it up due to lack of confidence. |

Typical Lonzo game. So much good and so much bad.
2 layup attempts blocked. 1 mid-range airball, 1 3 point attempt that missed the rim.
Hit a really nice mid-range jumper, way more energy, good defense and hit some 3's. |

It is because his vert when finishing in traffic or off the dribble is comparable to Vlade Divac in his prime. |

I don't think he's back to his complete athleticism anyways as he's back from surgery. That's why his blocks are way down this season. Remember Randle took some time to trust his body again after the surgery during rookie season. He played within himself a bit in his 2nd season. The bounce Lonzo had last season along with the body he has right now should improve his ability to finish through contact once he has an off season focusing on that. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

I thought it was more so that he doesn't use his body to absorb contact and take the angle away from shot blockers |
