I’m sorry. People defending him above are grasping for straws.

You don’t mince words but it’s pretty accurate. So annoying we could have had a guy like Tatum

Because the draft is a dart board. He’ll even Philly lucked into embiid at number 3 when he fell and Simmons by winning the lottery. They also drafted Okafor, Fultz and Noel.

There’s no motor with him. Seems content being awful. Yeah. When he puts up a 0-4-5 line and his supporters are pointing to his defense in a blowout loss. It’s sad.

Cut your losses and move on.

I honestly was hoping that he would play well. But, now I'm ready to move on from him. A late first round pick. Let Ingram handle point guard duties. In that role 17/6/7

That play in the first quarter where Lonzo switches onto multiple people on defense, got the steal, then the assist to Bron for the layup was a pretty magical play. I honestly feel he's going to be pretty special. Desperately needs to become a scoring threat though, and he's still horribly inconsistent.

I like how we didn’t even bother bringing Tatum in for a workout because Magic was so enaromed with this dude.

I don’t blame Magic for much, but this was a serious offense in my book.

Josh Jackson and Fox

IIRC Tatum refused to workout for the Lakers. Either it was because he didn't want to compete with Ingram for playing time, or the Celtics worked him out with the #1 pick and told him to shut it down.

No point in deflecting. Lonzo had a terrible game.

Tatum's favorite player was Kobe and Lonzo's favorite player was Magic. Plus, Lavar did a great marketing job and Magic felt for it.

Right now, Lonzo is not much better than SVI

No matter what, fan or not, his season so far has been a disappointment.

Honestly if it was possible, I'd trade him for LaMelo. He looks like he's going to be way better than Lonzo.

We drafted pretty much Patrick Beverley but worse defensively with the #2 pick.

Can’t blame magic. Lonzo would have been picked 1 -3 no matter who was picking. He was a big fultz and fox guy too if I remember. The number two pick historically hasn’t panned out. Unfortunately, we got three of them. Looks like russel won’t be curry, Ingram won’t be Durant, and ball won’t be kidd.

LaMelo plays with great self confidence which Lonzo lacks of.

Yea, Melo has a swagger about him. He's going to be really good and his shot is better. Lonzo has swagger and personality off the court but on the court he's a different dude. So strange.

That canard again...lol....LaVar didn't control/create the narrative while he was at UCLA. The teams/Zo's play did, and MANY experts agreed he was one of the best players in the country. Maybe Zo's game just won't translate to the NBA and he will be a bust, but why do you feel the need to create a false narrative?

He had a bad game, that's all. He's not a bust. He's not a star either. He's 21 years old. He'll probably get better.

Im so done with him. Magic needs to stay the f out of draft selections moving forward. No jumpshot, no post game...whats the use of him being 6’7?! U got midgets guarding you every game, and still cant get buckets!

Zo was pretty much the consensus 2nd pick. Analytics loved him, draft experts loved him. The biggest issue most people had was how he was going to get his shot off going left. No one knew he was going to be shook of attacking the basket, average an air ball a game and not be able to shoot. People are going to point his %s but his shots are WIDE OPEN, level of difficulty is a 0. Point is, it’s not Magic’s fault, most teams would have taken zo 2nd.

Had knee surgery, baby mama issues(which effects his head at young age) and fitting in with LeBron. I'm going to give him until the end of year, before I come to a complete conclusion.
