The Lonzo of last night totally changes the dynamic of this team.

The Lakers become so much more dangerous than just 1. Lebron ball or 2. Kuz/Lebron 2 man game. They become a triple threat, and if they ever add that 4th dimension of knockdown shooting to space the floor

I would add "and if they could learn how to shoot free throws ...."

That is DAMN COOL.

The vid in the comments with Lebron Jr was great too.

The triple doubles was in garbage time against a weak opponent. At least the Lakers are smart to pad Lonzo's stats to increase his trade value. He's got one good game so the next 3 games are gonna atrocious? We've been here before. One good game and everyone thinks he's an allstar. I'll wait until he gets at least 2 good games in a row or put up these stats against a playoff caliber team before I get excited.

Was his locking down Kemba a weak performance?

Lonzos offense was a lot better than his defense last night. They defended him as a scorer which made it easy for him to get into a flow and then he became a scorer too.

On defense, he hustled around and got his usual steals from anticipating plays and punishing the other team every time they made a lazy pass but most or all of Kemba's misses came on plays where Lonzo was screened and no one else was shading over. Lonzo didn't even get a chance to contest them which isn't his fault because he was screened but Kemba was missing anyway. After Kemba rolled his ankle on one of the first plays of the game, he looked like an entirely different player.

Luke said they asked ZO to go over the screens every time and he executed it well. Pretty evident in this vid. Inexperienced ZO would have died on those screens rather than fighting through and making it as hard as possible for Kemba. He hounded Kemba and forced him to tyake some bad shots.

Can you name one instance of criticism via a post made on Lakersground.net that has hindered any player's progress?

Nope, I didn't ask about expectations. I asked if there's ever been a player that's been affected by criticisms made on Lakersground.net

Can you think of any players?

Anyone saying Lonzo has been inconsistent overall doesnt care much about defense because he's been solid all season long there.. You can say his shooting is up and down but pretty much every single other aspect on the court has been consistent.. Do not understand how you can hate on one of our young guys clearly growing as we watch and still having tons of potential left for the future.. I don't even consider that an actual Lakers fan because a fan of the team is going to root for all the players that wear purple and gold regardless. Who roots for a player on there favorite team to play bad?

You don’t have to worry about Lonzo being up and down anymore. I heard he’s dialed his head in now so no more offensive struggles.

You sound bitter.

Seriously, it's like he's been emotionally hurt by the Balls or something.

Sorry, but this is too funny! Lol.

Ouch

It's like he can't let us enjoy a good game by having a somewhat decent next few games after a very good one.

No, he has to make us forget about the good game literally the next game and give us a reality check.

Well they say young players are gonna be inconsistent. I think we've seen enough players through this era to expect this type of phase for all of them

His inconsistency is the primary reason why he’s not a starting PG on a championship level team. He will have a triple double one game, and the next game I’m screaming at the tv get him off the floor

Your answer got cut off by the mods. So, has there ever been a player that's been affected by criticism made on Lakersground.net?

A second year player who struggled on the second night of a cross country road trip? No, I'm not worried.

Yup, even though he's struggling offensively, this is the night when he really shows his all around game.

He's impacting the game in more ways than scoring.

One good game, three bad games. Rinse and repeat. It would be nice to see Lonzo and the Lakers carry Lebron to a win when he has an off night but nope. That's wishful thinking.

Which is why we need a legit number #2 on this team. Unfortunately that may not happen until this summer.

Great SG/SF role player (roberson with better passing instincts). I havent seen a PG make so many dumb passes/travels/Double dribbles in some time. How can you grow up being a PG and making so many mental mistakes and shaky handles. IMO hes

Yea he's such a dumb PG that's why he has a good Assist/TO ratio for a young PG.
