Most don’t .. Curry and Billups are a couple of guys I can think of that always wore the ankle braces

never understood why most players don't use high tops. Some much more protection and no loss of mobility

Biggest unknown with Lonzo is injuries. Unfortunate tbh.

An elite NBA athlete should not be rolling his ankle that easily. I think it’s time for him to give it up with those Dollar Tree BBB sneakers.

He stepped on someone’s foot who might have undercut him. Did not have much to do with his shoes.

The contact came once his ankle started rolling. It was rolling whether they ever made contact or not.

His shoes did look like some cheap pieces of (bleep) though.

You do lose mobility with high tops.

Lonzo doesn’t recover well. He will be out for a long time. Like +2 or so weeks beyond most athletes with a similar injury.

It’s not about BBB or high top vs low .. it’s all luck man. I don’t care what shoe you wear, you role your ankle good enough and you’re fukt. This is from experience.

He's been tough this year, let's hope for the best. Maybe get him some real sneakers.

That was with his knee. The last time he tweaked his ankle he didn't even miss time(though he obviously will here).

Just focusing on his play, it was great. Attacking the rim well, being a floor general, and having that defensive IQ that solidified our defensive scheme against Harden.

Kobe would disagree - he gave up on high tops in the later years of his career.

well Kobe probably has a lot of good advice on a lot of things. But protecting you ankles wasn't one of them

I'm just saying that the day-to-day diagnosis means absolutely nothing.

I'm not even sure we're accurately going to hear how severe the injury actually is. Again, we recently heard that LeBron's injury was more severe than what was being reported by Woj. Rich Paul had to come out with it.

I'm starting to think that the Lakers just like to hide the severity of injuries.

Lonzo’s impact on this team is remarkable. Makes you wonder how good he can be if he was to become a better scorer.

Showing a lot Delonia, showing a lot.

LBJ has to be happy about it, along with emergence of Zubac.

It’s really about whether there are enough healthy key players for enough games.
