Well it's still the break. If ever there was a team that could use a few extra days away to get their heads right it's this one.

We should still know about his status, there was a report a few days ago that he could be ready after the ASB, so we should know when he’s gonna return soon.

Maybe, but remember Lonzo's ankle has the final say. If the doctor says he'll be back in a week, Lonzo's ankle can still retort with "nah, I need 2 or 3 weeks" and the ankle will be right.

pretty sure Luke meant "after the all star break"...not "as soon as the All Star break concludes". I would be surprised if it is before 2 more weeks....probably longer. Usually a tweet will go out showing him in gear at practice...maybe getting some shots in, and that is usually the 2 weeks out......then you get an announcement about being "cleared for basketball activity" or "limited contact activity", and that is often about a week out.

With Lonzo's history of coming back from injury.....he's done for the year.
Plus grade 3 sprain....looking 3 months which takes us to end of April.
See you next year......unfortunate.

Yeah, I mean obviously someone who has problems focusing will be cured by moving from the 2nd largest city in the US to the 6th largest city in the US. He couldn't possibly film his idiotic reality TV show or rap or be distracted by family in the 6th largest city in the country.

It is amazing how provincial Angelinos are, seemingly assuming that everywhere that isn't LA is some sort of quiet, rural oasis that is so boring one must lead a life of quite contemplation and monk like discipline. Yet somehow, Kobe, with all these same distractions, seemingly unique to LA, was able to focus on basketball. And players in other, much smaller towns manage to get distracted and into trouble, despite supposedly not having distractions. Is it possible that city location is irrelevant and we're dealing with a matter of maturity and temperament?

Interesting. So if Lonzo destroys T-Pain in a one-on-one game of basketball, we should post about it in the T-Pain forums because he's clearly a loser...

little bit of apples and oranges....doubt all 5'8" of T-Pain claims to be a pro basketball player.....where as Lonzo actually released an album or released songs as a professional rapper?

Miss the kid. Everyone else got used to playing his specialized style. Now we have to learn a different way of playing, till he gets back.

Harden - Sixth Man of the Year (Year 3)
George - Most Improved Player (Year 3)
Curry - 1st Team All Rookie
Kawhi - 1st Team All Rookie
Klay - 1st Team All Rookie

None of our recent young guys - DLo, Randle, BI have shown that. Zo & Kuz are still in year 2, so maybe they have a shot. A loooooooooooooong shot.

Curry and Klay 3 years of college.
PG, Harden, and Kawhi 2 years.
Lakers lottery picks: 1 year of college.

Not an even comparison for any of them.

Kuzma - 1st Team All Rookie
Randle did not qualify for the All Rookie team due to playing 1 game before his injury
Clarkson - 1st Team All Rookie (drafted same year as Randle)

However using the all rookie team to judge talent/impact is useless as there are many players who are now considered meh despite their 1st team selection.

When you dis a legend like Nas and put out a garbage album, you kind of beg for the criticism. I mean, he got out rapped by a singer whose claim to fame was auto-tune. How ironic is that?

If Lonzo returns this season, his shot/game is going to be much better than everyone complaining thinks. He's a player first and doing his work. His shooting will be better. That's what players do and he's got as much pride in his game as any other player. If he came back with no apparent improvement, there's no doubt in my mind Malinka would have him in the first AD off season trade package.

Lonzo likes it here and he knows what's at stake. While he can't run around, he's shooting a ton. No doubt. You'll see.

So does anyone have any sauces or rumors or guesses or an opinion for that matter as to when Zo will be back?

I'm guessing later rather than sooner

The Lakers said 4-6 weeks and we are just now in the 4th week. The Lakers obviously aren't practicing right now, so we won't get any updates from Luke until they start back up.

*I gave Kuz a pass (if you re-read).

*Randle is what he is: hurt/fat/lazy/balls-out-in-contract-years

*Clarkson? You're whining about Clarkson? He's the same age as Kyrie -I don't count that as "young core."

Randle was hurt as a rookie and progressively got better and in better each like like a young player should. It had nothing to do with it being a contract year.
