Doesn't matter. He's the worst 3 ball shooter there with the highest %. Minus points for not having a higher % due to LeBron getting him sooooooooo many open 3s. We should deduct points for not averaging more 3 ball attempts actually.

But seriously, I was surprised at how low some of the others shot.

This past year

Top 4 in that order?

It's a trick question it seems. There's like 6 guys on that list that shot 32 something % and Lonzo seems to be the highest of the 32%ers at .329

Even tho obviously he's probably the worst shooter on that list in reality.

He’s not close to the worst shooter on that list but i agree it’s a bit of a trick question.

Who is worse? Other than Westbrook , who still is a career 80% from the line ..

They're all better 3 point shooters than Lonzo.
They just shot a lower %.

Lonzo shot the best %?

Yes sir. Optics.

With solid volume too

Percentage should be way higher when you consider how many are wide open playing with LeBron

Now that’s how you move a goalpost! Well done.

You forgot about the deduction for all air balls, bricks, and Lavar quotes.

Now on a serious note.
Do you think coach Frank will allow Zo to run and be high energy? I was watching the the last Warriors game and Draymond was going berserk. And I was being reminded of Zo in a way. Pace. Defense. Outlets.

Which coaching system would benefit Zos game: Luke's or Frank's?

I wonder if Lonzo could end up being a Gary Payton type player. He's a good defender and their numbers are pretty similar 2 seasons in.

Tough to say. Luke liked to play faster than Vogal in the past but maybe Vogal is adjusting. Luke wanted anybody to bring the ball up the floor while I think Vogal is more traditional in a “get the ball to the PG and go” type of style. I think Kidd will be very influential as well.

Vogel took 3 years and allowed them to pick the next HC (Kidd) to be on his staff.

Vogel will do what the Lakers tell him to and he will like it. Not worried about what he will or won't do.

Kidd is a pick for LeBron/Lonzo. I think those guys will play at a high pace.

If Lonzo is still on this team on opening day, expect him to have as much freedom as he did last year.

Bulls want Lonzo for the 7th pick!

That would be a fantastic trade.

For the Bulls, yes. The Lakers are far better off keeping Lonzo, unless we know for sure that BI, 4, and 7 will be enough to get AD to team up with Lebron and Kawhi. Otherwise, hard pass.

It’s like we didn’t learn anything from the D’Angelo trade.

He's missed 40% of our team's games his first 2 years here.
His inability to stay healthy is worrisome.

#4 + #7 is worth more than #4 and lonzo in any trade deal

Seriously?

Gary played in the worst possible era for numbers. The dead-ball era. The "inside the paint" era. The "If you're going to shoot a 3 you better make it!" era.

Lonzo's first 2 years coincide with an explosion in scoring, pace, and possessions and most importantly the "Layups or 3 pointers" era.

Even if their numbers were really identical, would they really?

Wrong. Lonzo would go top 3 in this draft, easily. People know that Lonzo's best assets are growing. They have no idea what a pick will become.
