I just heard a rumour.

In practice yesterday. Lonzo got a rebound under the backboard, tossed a full court pass, sprinted full court, caught the Ball and dunked it before it hit the floor. The coaching staff is now considering starting an unprecedented 1 man starting lineup.

Edit: I MADE up a rumour. However, it might be true.....

When it happens it's because I spoke it into existence.

Its gonna happen. There's going to be this exact play at some point in the next 20 years. It will be the most amazing Lakers highlight in history. And you'll remember you read it here first.

When was the last time NBA.com rookie ladder had a Laker at #1? And right now we have 2 in the top 3.

1. Lonzo
2. Channing
3. Kuzma

Any concern that Lonzo's only crappy SPL game was the only one that BI played in? After listening to GT's most recent podcast it would seem to make some sense.

If I don't get at least ten "stfu Lakers rule" responses I'll be thoroughly disappointed.

You mean his 1st game in over 4 months after not practicing with the team at all?

We were due to hit on at least one gem. We've had the No.2 pick in three consecutive drafts. Taking into consideration that it's generally a player's first game in months, Russell was slow out the gate. IIRC, he got going a bit in his fourth game or so.

BI's development was much slower too. Ball's coming out the gate like you'd want the No.2 pick to do. Making his presence felt immediately. Dude's been on the ball with his impact.

That's like someone saying:

"Hey, is there anyone concerned that all of Lonzo's triple doubles have been behind bad shooting performances?"

Yeah and also adjusting to playing with better players and maybe trying to force things in his first game instead of letting the game come to him

Not per Zo. He hadn't played 5 on 5 since the Tournament. He had no legs.

I think there's some minor concern. It has more to do with BI stopping the ball on occasion than anything with Lonzo. Unfortunately, they only played one game together. I expect if they had played more, it would've been fine. I think they'll be fine in the future.

Is it just me, but I find the Jason Kidd comparisons kind of a let down for Lonzo. I guess I am not a huge Kidd fan. I think Lonzo will be better.

Kidd is one of the greatest pg's of all time who played lock down D and was a wizard on the fast break. I love the comparison and if he turns out anything like Kidd lakers have lucked out, i think he will be a better scorer but worse defender than Kidd eventually but either way I think the main reasons for the comparison is the playmaking and size of both. You shouldn't be let down when we have a rookie being compared to an all time great.

My eyes are bleeding from that extended ball-pounding pull up 3-point airball.
