In practice yesterday. Lonzo got a rebound under the backboard, tossed a full court pass, sprinted full court, caught the Ball and dunked it before it hit the floor. The coaching staff is now considering starting an unprecedented 1 man starting lineup.
Edit: I MADE up a rumour. However, it might be true.....
that actually didn't happen

Mr. Perfect once caught his own pass PROVING it could be done, but it was on a football field with a football.

Any concern that Lonzo's only crappy SPL game was the only one that BI played in?After listening to GT's most recent podcast it would seem to make some sense.
If I don't get at least ten "(bleep) Lakers rule" responses I'll be thoroughly disappointed.
Nope. I don't see any reason to think those two things are intimately connected. The only thing about Lonzo's first game that was bad was his shooting. He was still moving the ball extremely well. What changed after the first game is that he shot better and became more aggressive with his playmaking. It was obvious just watching that he was becoming more comfortable game by game. None of those things had anything to do with Ingram being out. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Sean Deveney of The Sporting News spoke to one NBA scout who said that while the passing was to be expected, the rest of Ball’s game was just as impressive:
“Look, the passing we knew about. His ability to see the floor and create easy baskets, we knew about that. I was impressed with the other things. He is an excellent rebounder. He’s worked on a post game, too. He can post up smaller guards. We did not see that much. He has tremendous body control when he drives, he can finish off-balance. Love the passing ability, but I loved the other parts of his game.”
"Ball met Bryant once a few months ago, but when you ask Ball about it, he's unmoved by the interaction. Bryant asked Ball if he had a post-up game; Ball said he did".
Kobe is such a high IQ player. Maybe he knows what Ball must do to be a dominant force in the half court when the offense breaks down. Maybe instead of only trying to break guys off at the top of the key every time like most PGs maybe he can accomplish the same thing from the post. Against smaller players he can get easy shots, get fouled or force a double team and use his amazing vision to get guys open 3s or layups.
I thought the difference in game one was that he was passing up shots in the paint for kickouts. After game 1 he started taking those shots.
Well, and that he finally got his wind back.
Yeah he was getting his sea legs back that first game. What was awesome about Lonzo in summer league was that he almost looked better after each game, getting back into playing shape

He was shook after that airball. It felt like he was not going to shoot at all . But you can get a glimpse on how well he can run the offense. When he finally settle down after a couple of games, he was finally running teams to ground with no break. I suspect he will have the same struggle in the preseason in the first couple of games.
Not sure how this correlates from year to year, but only six players in the nba had over 8 assists/game last season and five of them made it to the playoffs. The only one who didn't was Rubio, definitely looking forward to see what kind of impact Lonzo's passing has on this team.
