It's interesting that Lonzo is basically a flip-side version of Rajon Rondo. Both guys were triple-double threats coming out of college.
The big difference is that Rondo couldn't hit 3s, but would attack the rim and run P&R; whereas Lonzo can crank up 3s and attack the rim, but almost never runs P&R.

Does anyone remind you of yourself at that young age in this year's draft?
"That's easy, Lonzo Ball"
- @MagicJohnson
Welp
Heh. So would Magic draft himself? Or Jackson/Fultz?
But what if Fultz reminds him of Jordan the most??!!!!
haha.
But would Magic draft Magic? Or Jordan?
I feel that young people forget how awesome Magic was.
Pre-HIV, pre weight gain, 80s Magic. The best! I wish his career wasn't cut short to see what else he would have accomplished.

LOL how the hell do we know how lonzo would play in the NBA, uh, he's never played there yet?!

You better get your Hot Tub Time Machine fixed.
We've all seen.
I want us to draft Ball over JJ even if in previous draft I wanted the sure thing over the high risk/high reward player, Ingram over Simmons and Russell over Okafor.

I think he would take himself especially in the current NBA

Rondo with above average shooting % from anywhere on the floor able to finish an alley oop is kinda fukin great stud
@SerenaWinters
On @ESPNLosAngeles, @keyshawn asks Magic Johnson if there's any guards in this draft class that reminds him of himself
Magic chuckles....
"Probably easy when you think about Lonzo's ability to pass the basketball & set his teammates up & his bball IQ is really off the charts."
Everything has lined up for Lonzo to be a Laker-- including PG rumors about him not wanting them to trade much to get him.
Seems like it's destined to happen and at this point I'd be shocked if he didn't end up here.
Interesting to see Celtics wanting too interview/work him out... I'm sure they're just doing their due diligence but maybe it's not such a forgone conclusion as when Minny only even considered Towns. Then again, Philly did work out BI.

If Ball is a Laker, does that mean all the Westbrook desires can be put to rest? Heh.
Dang; they dislike the Celtics ALMOST as much as I do!

Celtics GM Danny Ainge said that UCLA freshman point guard Lonzo Ball will not work out for his team prior to the draft, A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast SportsNet tweets.
There's something to be said about a laker fan wanting to become a laker. I hold a soft spot in my heart for Randle because he always idolized kobe and the lakers. To have someone come in already bleeding purple and gold is a plus (except byron). It's part of the reason why we love luke so much. I mean, Lonzo is already pissing off the celtics, how great is that?
We need the josh Jackson thread back. The mods left the fultz one here but I think we have a much greater chance of selecting Jackson than fultz.
Agree a Jackson thread needs to returned.
Ball not working out for Boston is going to alienate the fans base . He's already half a Laker just for that move.
I can't help it but, just like when the cameras were there on lottery day, I'd love to see Lavar Ball on draft day if the Lakers were to pass on his boy.
This puts a lot of pressure on the lakers too tho. lavar is playing mind games. Can magic resist?
Who cares about Lavar? He's not going to have an affect on our front office. The focus should be on Lonzo.
It really is different the way Magic is so open when he talks about players ala Ball, Jackson etc. It was pretty obvious his heart is with Ball.
I've been so used to listening to Mitch, who doesn't reveal anything. To me it's a breath of fresh air listening to Magic. You can hear in his voice the passion he has for this organization and how bad he wants to bring back winning.
