DSJ had a great showing but Zo was far from invisible. |
zo had 9,7,7. When finally matched up mano e mano, Zo posted us DSJ and scored easy. |
Ignore VLF...he takes every angle possible to prop Randle up and Push Lonzo down...dude is a troll. |
Show where I pushed Lonzo down, I have been very happy with him. I thought he wasn’t that good today. So go ahead, we will wait. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I don't think he's a troll.
Just watches games differently than us. |

Nah, I’m wrong....I feel about Lonzo like you feel about Randle, I defend him against all comers. You are right, my mistake. |

Didn't have his shooting legs. I guess he didn't have his super active, everywhere, legs either |

I am also a big Lonzo fan. The worst thing I have said about him is that I wanted to draft Tatum. Big I am fine that we didn’t. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

More post ups and ISOs by the team than usual?
With this type of play style, Lonzo needed to hit his 3s to be more impactful I believe. |

Yeah, Ennis was awful. Seems like he's getting worse every game... |

I think KIROE is right, he didn't look like he had his legs today. Maybe the weird start time had something to do with it. |

I don’t understand Ennis’ game actually. He can’t shoot, is a very poor on the ball defender and doesn’t pass or distribute the ball well. The only thing he does at an average level is getting past a defender to the basket. I don’t see how he is in the league TBH. |

Can someone explain this to me. How come Lonzo did his impression of 2011 Lebron vs the Mavs at the end of the game. I assume it was by design, but he kept on moving away from the ball instread of towards it. Even when the ball handler was trapped and needed someone to pass the ball to. Did Luke give specific orders to clear out for JC every play? Was he scared to touch the ball (doubt it)? Was he playing SF and looking for a corner 3? |

That depends a lot on what you think about the value of elite bigs in the modern game. Of course, it also depends on what you expect Ball to become down the line. If your model is Jason Kidd, then I'll take the elite big. |
Kidd isn't a great comp if only for reasons of size. He's closer to 6'2", Lonzo is closer to 6'6".
Lonzo is more like a thinner less athletic LBJ with a better shot and an even higher IQ. |
Forget height for a second.
What's the difference in the kinds of shots Isaiah Thomas gets compared to Klay Thompson? |
Doesn't this prove my point? The 5'7.5" guy has to dribble and work way harder to get the shot off to create space. Comparing Kidd and Zo is like comparing Kyrie and Kobe. Do I see similarities, of course, but the former will never have a few of the things the latter does. |
I don't think so. I think they both take similar shots. Spot ups, 1-2 dribble pull ups. That part doesn't change.
Comparing Kidd and Zo... isn't that much different to me. Height doesn't necessarily change the style of a player's game/skills. What other 6'6" PG out there plays like Zo?
It's not like Kidd wasn't 6'4" either.
I can't believe I used height w/shoes. Unbelievable. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

He got hot from three to end last season and some folks forgot he was a terrible perimeter shooter his whole career up to that point. |

If BI was healthy, Luke would certainly have called clearouts for him every play down the stretch. Luke just pivoted to JC with Ingram out.
Lonzo specifically isn't getting those plays because he's not much of a threat to score on switches, and almost every team will switch the PnR to close out games and force Lonzo to beat them.
But I wish Luke ran more offense in close 4th quarters than just PnR to set up isos on switches. |

Yeah man. I almost think it would throw the opponent off with a clean execution of an offensive play. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
