It's slightly different. He's no longer bringing the ball all the way across his body. Looks more like Peja or Kevin Martin now compared to last season. Hopefully this leads to more confidence and consistency. I am also hoping he worked on his finishing at the rim because that was actually much worse than his shooting last season.

No.

Yep. Tack on the fact that Butler seems to have some serious issues with playing nice with others...resounding no.

Besides his hand placement, I'm also hoping for better balance on his lower body. I thought last year he was jumping forward on his shots. Can't really tell from the video (wish we had an overhead view) but it's looking like he's more stationary.

Re: his ATRs, I hope he doesn't take off so far from the rim. So he can release the ball more at the apex of his jump.

Maybe he won't be scrimmaging in a week, but I'm sure he'll be able to participate in most of what they're doing, if not everything besides scrimmaging. I'd also imagine he'll play in at least a couple of the preseason games if he's not ready for the first one or so.

This is also why it's good that Magic and Rob will be addressing the media on Thursday. They'll likely get asked about where he is physically and how much he'll be able to do during TC.

For what it's worth, DMO posted an Instagram story of him throwing it off the backboard to himself and flushing one. Looked pretty effortless too.

I am not as concerned about him scrimmaging as much as I really want his shooting percentages and efficiencies to substantially increase. If that happens--and with his already strong defense and rebounding--we may have a great complement to Lebron.

I'd trade Lonzo and Ingram for Towns.

Not sure about the + BI but thats tempting, really tempting.
In a vacuum, im gonna lean towards yes, but in context...I dont know. Additions after that trade gets difficult.

I'd trade Lonzo and Ingram for Anthony Davis or Giannis Antetekoumpo. I wouldn't trade either straight up for Kat's overrated ass.

Devin Booker and KAT are going to be fully caught as empty number players within the next 4 or 5 seasons. Devin Booker is a worst case then Kat but both are terrible.

No Towns is a proven loser. He has had plenty of time now in the league and he just does not get it on the defensive end. Lonzo Ball is a better defender than Towns.

No, not until I get a clear picture of what Lonzo is in his sophomore season. I’m not that enamored with bigs that don’t play defense and have poor showings in the playoffs

Three seasons is "plenty?"

He’s ridiculously talented but has been consistently soft and disinterested in playing D for 3 years. When a vet was brought in to teach him toughness, it took just one year for him to demand that player to be traded(reportedly). I need Towns to prove he’s a winning player who will lock in on both ends before I trade Ball or Ingram for him. Until then, let’s let him enjoy the 9 seed in Minny.

I wouldn't mind Lonzo adding hooks to his game. It could help with that tricky short-range game.

Enough for me to be concerned enough to not trade BI or Lonzo for him.

I am not a big KAT fan, but in fairness, he improved a lot on defense last year. I doubt that he will ever become a top defensive center, but he could wind up being above average. He’s already a top offensive center. I just think he was born twenty years too late.

I think teams dont do medical updates themselves until media day/training camp.

Remember the big thing over the summer about lonzo's "camp" allegedly leaking the info out so he wont get traded lol

This is correct, although I'm gonna see if they can answer this during the Magic/Pelinka press conference on Thursday.

The Laker core is overrated here. If these players were as good as Towns, Butler, etc. the FO wouldn't be signing so many veteran stopgaps to play heavy minutes in LeBron's first season. It should be ready to go.
