I know his dad is annoying, but I'm to the point now where I just laugh every time he talks...guy is like a cartoon, a parody of himself at this point.
I don't know why folks are freaking out over Lavar. Can he have an impact on a high school team? Sure. College? Somewhat. Pros? Name me a parent that has actually impacted an NBA team AFTER the player has been drafted and signed. Or an NFL team. Or a MLB team. NHL? Nope, nothing.

His dad is beyond annoying, he is TOXIC. If he was just annoying then he would be bearable but he's a self-promoting and obnoxious loud mouth who will be toxic to the locker room as well. It won't be beyond him to throw other teammates, the coaching staff, or the front office under the bus.

what impact did he have on the UCLA team? I didn't see much.

Lebron's mom had sex with his teammate and that put the team in turmoil. That's how a parent affects a team. Imagine if the Lakers drafted a player who had a really hot and horny cougar mom who was into basketball players. I think the Lavar situation could be similar.

Hey look, someone who wants to be here, has dreamed of being here, grew up loving this team, could live his dream of being here and is one of the best players in the draft and top 3 at LEAST.
How about some of ya'll NOT look a gift horse in the mouth.
I'm glad he's happy about being here, he'd fit perfectly and more perfectly than any of the other top 3 in terms of fit AND he's a special talent.
So rather than finding something to be negative about, be happy. It's am actual good and positive time. His father will have no impact on what style the Lakers run etc. Again, he didn't interfere st all with UCLA. So he won't here. Some of ya'll need to get out of your feelings about Lavar and realize how talented his son is and how lucky we are to even have a shot at him.

My thoughts exactly. That man is a clown and if he Magic takes his son, he better keep that man as far away as possible.
Magic has no reason too and he has no issues with Lavar, so sorry you won't be getting that wish if we draft Lonzo.
If the Lakers draft Lonzo all that Lavar will do is give his opinions if someone sticks a mic in his face. As would any parent that got the attention he does.
