After celebrating with his family after the Lakers got the 2nd pick, Lonzo Ball goes to 24-Hour Fitness and works out that same evening. Have to give it to the Balls, they are workhorses.

Poor guys just came for a little workout after a stressful day at work just to get run over by the Ball Brothers.

I want to know if Lonzo re-racks his plates. I can handle his mope father but I don't want a rack goblin on this team.

Lonzo Ball is a hard worker no doubt, all stemming from how we was brought up.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/05/lavar-ball-lonzo-nba-draft-ucla-lottery-toilet-training-quote

Quote:
LaVar says he had his sons walking by the time they were 8 months old and potty-trained by 10 months.

“I put a scarf under their tiny arms and I just hold them up like a bungee cord so they get their balance,” he says. “Nobody had Pampers on. I’d wake their [butt] up in the middle of the night, put them on the toilet. Their cold [butt] hit that seat, so it was like a mechanism. Cold [butt], piss. Now go back to sleep!”

There’s no wink or smile when he says this.

The Ball brothers all had rough upbringings when they were still babies.

Their dad was more of a personal trainer than he was a father.

That doesn't seem right to say. But I'm hoping you just mean he also trained them, while being a father.

Seriously, he's got to change that or other players are going to eat him alive. I'm not an NBA scout and I can tell he ALWAYS goes for that awkward stepback 3 going to his left. Extremely curious how he adjusts to the NBA.

Pump fakes. Learn from the great Kobe. Pump fakes could easily and quickly be learned. You step back and you fake it. If defender is aggressive, you get 3 free throws.

And if you have Avery Bradley, Green, Klay, CP3 or any other competent defender who won't bite?

Then you don't take that dirk, and you dribble or pass.
Are take the shot or get blocked the only options?

Work ethic reminds me a bit of what Kobe would do. He doesn't seem to give a (bleep) about anything outside of basketball, he's all focused on his game. Definitely coachable, he will do whatever it takes to improve, think that Magic genuinely sees a future with the kid.

That TigerDad of his is just another obstacle that Lonzo will need to overcome.
