Cheesecake is fine. The other food, terrible. I mean, relative to the price. I just feell it is pretty pedestrian.

I love it. There was only one where I lived before I came to the states. Sure pricey. I went there with my family like once a couple of months.

I recently went there and had the "Da Vinci Pasta." First time I really liked what I ate there. I then googled it and found the recipe that closely resembles it and have made it a few times.

They have some very good food. The bread they give you is maybe my favorite of all the restaurants I've been to. Meatloaf and Chicken Madeira are great dishes there.

Aren't they usually high on the list of unhealthiest foods you can get?

I've eaten there quite a bit, as a friend with stomach troubles finds their food to be gastronomically acceptable.

The service was always good, and it was always very clean.

The food? Very bland, which should be obvious after reading the first sentence.

The cheesecake? I'm not really a cheesecake person, but I would sometimes have a slice of plain cheesecake for dessert. It's too sweet for me, way too much sugar for my taste. And of course if you partake on a regular basis, those slices will migrate south to your waistline.

eh i'd put Chilis in the same tier as Applebees and TGIF which is so-so food where I'd rather just go to a solid fast-casual place instead. Then I have Dennys/IHOP/etc a tier below that. I do have a somewhat soft spot for Claim Jumpers though and think its a half tier above Chilis/Applebees/TGIF.
I think Cheesecake factory is a clear tier above all of those and not just on decor and price.

Is IHOP considered bad?

I dont care for them or Dennys. For starters their cement batter pancakes are way too bready. And its pretty easy to find a solid cafe/diner that would mop the floor with Denny's/IHOP's entire menu.

When you're a teen, Denny's is a great place to eat at 2 in the morning, after you and your friends arrive stinking drunk. Nothing beats a Grand Slam breakfast. The bathrooms were fairly clean compared to McDonalds, making it a great place to hurl once that sugar from that Grand Slam merged with the alcohol residing in your stomach.

The restaurant tourists eat at when they look to soak up some local flavor in a city.

The difference in quality between Applebees/TGIF and Chilis is wide.

Good, but overpriced, and there's some seriously bad-for-you selections.

hmm I've been dragged to Chilis more times than I can count by coworkers and I cant think of anyway to justify it as being higher quality than all the other forgettable casual restaurants
