DLO's a Laker so I'm at peace with him for now assuming he keeps improving... but I'd take Porzingis and still take Ingram. |

Porzingis has gotten out of the box faster but it's still an open question who will be better in the long run.
Last season's draft class was pretty much a disaster. RoY should go to "none of the above." I still think Ingram is as good a choice as anyone, but in the long run I have no idea if he'll be #1 in the class, #2 or #8 or worse. |

Ingram for sure. Porky and DLO are tied. Either one would've been fine. |

Porzingis & Ingram.
5. Porzingis stretching the floor and protecting the rim
4. Randle bully ball
3. Ingram being Ingram
Man. That would be one sick front court. Maybe the GOAT frontcourt someday. |

Ingram's class was easy. No one really stands out after.
Put Ingram in DLO's class, is he #2? Not sure. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'm very optimistic that Dlo will turn out to be a great guard, but I'd take Porzingis & Ingram. I just appreciate skilled big men who come along because they're so rare.
A 7ft plus at the 4, and 6'10 at the 3 is something I'd love to see. |

Full hindsight in action here? DLO 3 behind Porzingis, Ingram 2 but I do like Brown and Jamal Murray a lot, relative to Ingram. _________________ Austin Reaves

I'd take Porzingis and BI.
That said, I am completely rooting for DLO because he is a Laker! _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Same.
Even if you rate Dlo and Porky at the same level, Porky is more of a rare find- a rim protecting 5 who stretches the floor. Perfect for Luke's system and perfect fit next to JR.
DLo has the potential to be an AS, but I think Porky is more of a sure bet to get there, and it's harder to find a player with his skillset and physical attributes than it is to find one with DLo's. If Luke had been the coach instead of Byron, I'm fairly sure Porky would've been the pick. |

Let's make this fair b/c Ingram's class was so garbage.
Put Ingram in the 2015 pool. Do you take him or Porky/Booker/etc.? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'd probably go Porzingis, but it would be very close. Porzingis can shoot and is a good rim protector, but from the games I've seen, he's not very good at creating his own offense. He's just got so much potential that he's hard to pass up. Ingram still at 2. |

Wait, no votes for Okafart? I think there are some Philly fans who think we'll trade DLO for Okafart straight up...
They hate us so much over there. We never mention them but a lot of their threads are about the Lakers for some stupid reason.
Even when Ingram worked out for Philly this lady reporter was trying to get Ingram to say he preferred to live and play in Philly over LA. Of course he didn't answer the question in the way she wanted. |

DLo and Ingram.
It has been 2 years. We're comparing a point guard who is expected to do a lot in this offense, who doesn't necessarily have the green light, against a 7'3 3pt shooting big man. And despite that DLo scores just as many points per 36.
If you look at the 2009 NBA Draft -- go 3 years past that draft, even 4 years. Any team drafting #1 would tell you they'd probably take Blake Griffin #1 overall. Then ask that same question 1-2 years later and those same teams would tell you at #1 I'm taking Steph Curry or James Harden.
Guys progress at different rates. We took DLo because of the potential he demonstrated over an entire college season and in workouts and we haven't seen that potential fully realized yet. But we will soon. |
