Lots has gone on since this past February when Magic took the reigns as team president. Early on things weren't looking great with how the transition was handled but the book is still being written. A running log of his moves so far...
- Publicly campaigned for Jim's job while in consultant role
- Replaced Jim and let go of Mitch Kupchak and John Black
- Traded Lou for #28/Brewer
- Traded Huertas for Ennis
- Hired Rob Pelinka as General Manager
- Made clear Luke Walton is his coach of choice
- Let go of Glen Carro, Tim DiFrancesco, Rondre Jackson, Tania Jolly, Sean Light and Chaz
- Begun reshaping the scouting department investing in more layers including scouting current NBA players. Being run by Ryan West and Joey Buss.
- Put the players currently on the roster on notice that they better be ready to work, including demands of physical fitness and 'excellence'
- Personally conducting a PR campaign to reshape Laker narrative. Has coordinated talking points across organization.
- Retained #2 pick and 2019 first (circumstantial). Publicly preaching patience with the pick and the young core
- Tampering on Paul George and getting away with it
Anything else so far?
- Director of analytics, Yuju Lee, stepped down rather than take a demotion.(dont_be_a_wuss). Magic's also going to revamp the analytics team. (K2)
- Magic guaranteed that we'd keep the pick (pio2u)
- (Going into the summer) Still missing (replacement) Strength and Conditioning coach/staff. (Mike@LG) _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

Wonder if Tim Grover would be a good choice, or if he would be considered outdated these days. |

Thanks Mike. Do you mean the list is missing something or that the Lakers are missing replacements to those who resigned/were let go? This is what I could find on Google: http://www.ocregister.com/2017/05/03/lakers-strength-and-conditioning-coach-tim-difrancesco-resigns/
Wino, not sure what you mean to say. it's a list of stuff that has been done under Magic's watch and/or by him. Do you feel like there's a slant or was there something else you thought was wrong? _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Missing replacements.
I thought that was why Randle was doing weird outdoor workouts. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Positive or negative let's not be these type of fans. it's ultimately toxic to nit pick positive and negative like he's a political candidate. |

Really? Tampering? Why don't you get a life and find out the definition of tampering. |

I thought "running a tab" is when you have an ongoing debt that has to be paid back? I get what you mean op, but it's probably best to call it a litany of Magic's GM moves. |

Magic is the man! We Laker fans have been blessed with some TREMENDOUS clientele. Dr. Buss, J.West, Pat Riley, Phil, and now Jeanie and Magic. |
