36 wins. This is assuming we don't land a FA this summer and we draft Lonzo. |

I predict we win exactly the amount of games that ESPN predicts us to win, +/- 2. My prediction of their win prediction is roughly 32, so I'll go with that |

Please state if Swaggy is on the team in your scenario. |
Last season Lou was our best player by almost every metric.
I'd say we are going to be luck to win the same number of games next season considering our young players may come back improved and we have a chance to draft a point guard something that may allow Dlo to focus on scoring that I believe is a role he can thrive compensating for Lou's departure.
Without some kind of splash I'm expecting to win less than 25 games and that is the main reason I'd like to trade for a difference maker now. I find it really difficult to sign anyone in free agency with a worse record than we had last season and that is a real possibility. |
Our win rate with vs without Lou, iirc, was not that much different. We had about a 25 win rate after Lou, and with an expected improvement next season in the young guys, I don't see why we couldn't add at least 5 games to our win total if not more. |
I agree, it would be a failure if we can't win 35-40 wins with the same roster + the addition of a great PG and a potential good player at #28. |
You also predicted we would win 40 games last year |

In that scenario I'd say somewhere in the 30s. That is based on the assumption that our young guys continue to improve. DLO, Ingram, or Randle could possibly make big improvements in one off-season. Or they might not. |

If bi and dlo pick up where they left off I see another 9-12 game improvement. 36-40 |

Wouldn't be surprised for a nice leap, similar to the once okc made in 09. I'm sticking my neck out there and I think they'll hit 40. 50+ wins usually the mark for a team to be in the contender conversation. If our young guys hit 40 without the addition of a big free agent, while still being this young, I'll be completely convinced that we're on our way to building a championship core. |

I'm coming back to this after Free agency starts. I think losing Lou Williams is going to affect the win count. If the roster more or less stays as it is, with the young guys running the show, I don't predict over 30 games. _________________ Austin Reaves

This, there's nothing but PLAYOFF GOAL for next season. 3rd season for DLo and Randle, MozDeng need to step their game the f up and everybody else a year older... push push push |

Zubac, Black, Mozgov
Randle, Nance
Ingram, Brewer, Deng
Russell, Nwaba, Young
Clarkson, Ennis
The lakers are very deep. If we could play with a system like Celtics or Spurs which rely on depth more than stars, we may be able to win 40-45 games |

The point guard will be a rookie, so he almost certainly won't be great. The #28 pick is 3rd string and probably won't see more than 5 minutes a game unless someone gets traded or injured. |

30 wins considering the loss of Lou and I think Swaggy is opting out. Moderate progression from Randle and Zu, good progression from DLO (19 PPG 5/5) and significant progression from Walton and BI (15/4/3 75% FT, 35% 3PT, 42% FG) is what I'd expect. If ball plays well enough to have a net zero effect on our W/L I'd be happy....being a rookie PG is super tough.
That being said, there is zero chance IMO that we stand pat...there will be a trade. One of these guys
DLO
JC
Randle
Will not be on the team next year. Smart money says to ship Randle out so we don't have to pay him....Randle + JC + 28 for Anthony? Randle + Dlo + 28 + future 1st for PG? JC + one of Moz/Deng + 28 for Lopez? It'll be something like that IMO. |

You know what's crazy... We started off as a .500 ball club this past season and then the injury bug hit us hard, during a road trip at that. We never seemed to recover especially since DLo tried to rush back in, but by that time we had lost our position as #7 seed. There were also a good 20 games last season in which we SHOULD have won because of 4th quarter leads. I understand that those type of games determine who the better team is, but even if we just snagged 10 of those games we would have been a 35 win team. This season can be interesting if we can stay healthy. But considering the possibility of injury, I have it as 36. |

Way too early. We don't know if we keep the second pick and if we do, we don't know who we draft. We have no idea what other moves will be made in the of season. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Way too early, but for fun, I'll bite. 31 wins, but a lot more fun to watch. I'm cautiously optimistic that Russell will improve to 18/5/5, and BI at 13/4/3, with improved shooting pct. from both due to minutes from Ball (22mpg?). It's fun to speculate. _________________ #32 is the greatest Laker ever. |

Way too early to forecast 2018 W-L. Gotta see what happens in terms of trades, extensions, signings, draft, off season health. Let's talk in November. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”

I usually over-estimate the number of wins by 10 games so this year I'm going with 51 wins.
BI becomes Greek Freak lite; Lonzo leads league in assists; Zubac unleashes the sky-hook, and D'Lo shoots over 0.400 from 3s. |
