I really hope D-LO & Ingram are in Laker uni's for a long time, if we get Ball, DLO moves to SG & we worry & get PG13 in 2018-19 w/o giving up anyone, by then we know what the D-LO/Ingram duo can do with another year under their belt...

Does Magic not see Phillip's approach to Porzing God? Why doesn't he take a similar public stance? Phillip is a genius basketball mind.

With magic wanting to make a big splash IMO, I continue to feel he will move DLO and Randle for PG-13. I am not on board with that, I would rather wait and bring in PG-13 in 18' to join DLO and Randle.

Ball at the point, Bi at the 2 and PG-13 at the 3 is what I can see happen.

Why is this a separate thread. Put this in the BI thread and update the title

I would much rather have
PG: Ball
SG: DLo
SF: PG13
PF: Ingram
C: Zubac

I'm curious to see where Phil is going with it. He seems to get a rise out of pissing off his best players but they end up reaching goat status because of it (false equivalence I know) There's a method to his madness.

No he didnt.

Video title says so and I read it on Twitter as well. Only heard first 12 mins now.

Then you're already past the part where he talks about russell. It's a clickbait title. Reading it on twitter is just people seeing the title and reporting it as news.

Magic says Ingram is the probably the only untouchable on the roster (check ingram thread for more). Then he says russell (great scorer, looks to have "it"), randle (can dominate inside, needs right hand) and nance (very intelligent) can all be special, and that clarkson can be a great defender, and that he likes the young core.

Then he talks about the draft, praises ball and jackson. Will bring them in as well as fultz and fox. Wants them to tell him they want to be great and wants to pick their minds. Then he talks about the conditioning and the body fat, citing the cavaliers and the warriors as the reason why. Then he talks about the dodgers. And finally he says he takes the warriors over the cavaliers in the finals

No where does he even mention the word "cornerstone", nor do any of the people interviewing him

lmao You're so committed to diminishing Russell. A+ for consistency.

Actually, that note also says that everybody else can be traded.
Not the message I would spread among the team.
Remember what it did to Lamar and Pau?

SO dumb.

Everybody should be available for a trade.

So, he wouldn't trade Ingram for Lebron or Anthony Davis?

Ingram is overrated locally. Around the league, no opponent heads into a Lakers game and worries. "How do we contain the greatness that is Brandon Ingram."

If Phil offers Porz for Dlo, Magic would accept hell he would throw #28 too just incase Phil doesnt change his mind.

I think PG13 has already answered Magic's joking "wink wink nod nod" tampering joke on TV the other day, through Woj. Message - "hang on to Ingram, DLO, and all your young core. I'm coming over for free in 2018 and I don't want a diluted team."

Smart man. That kid will be a beast with enough time.

You can't teach that length. And he has some skills too.

Exactly. And as John Ireland stated yesterday, Magic did give himself some wiggle room and said probably twice. But those deals aren't coming our way, so Ingram is here to stay.

Are the Cavaliers going to trade LeBron or the Pelicans going to deal Anthony Davis? Stop taking his words so literally.

Pretty much. If the Pacers were willing (and I'd say they wouldn't) to take Luol Deng/Timofey Mozgov, Jordan Clarkson, LNJ, and/or #28, the Lakers would probably make the deal for Paul George. But as of right now, there's no real motivation to make a deal for Paul George.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong because I don't quite remember fully. Weren't there some reports out about Magic possibly being upset with Mitch and Jim because they didn't pull the trigger on including Ingram in a deal to get PG13 during the All-Star break?

That means even DLo is expendable. I hope he gets traded for a true SG. Ball will be the future of the Lakers.
